  1. “OK … The Allman Brothers Band.”

March 12, 1971 ~ The first of three nights at Bill Graham's legendary Fillmore East begin with that simple introduction. It's widely considered one of the greatest live rock albums of all time, capturing The Allman Brothers Band at their creative peak. Two of the shows are recorded and become The Allman Brothers seminal "Live at Fillmore East" album. #theallmanbrothersband #fillmoreeast #billgraham #southernrock #rock #rockmusic #blues

  3. @limebar It was only by chance I saw them. In those days I was living there. Free lunchtime concerts were a notable feature of the #SanFrancisco Civic Center Plaza in the 1970s. The Ramones played on June 9, 1979. I have no idea why, but I think that maybe #BillGraham might have had something to do with it to promote one of his shows. I found a clip on YouTube. There's also a full audio recording out there somewhere.
