Apparently, this is live since at least October 2025:
Instead of image puzzles, #reCAPTCHA can display a QR code that you cannot "verify" without a smartphone running Google Play Services:

This not only locks out de-googled phones, but since QR codes can be generated per browser request, Google can track exactly you visited a specific webpage, confirmed by your own smartphone. Which means: It doesn't even matter whether you're using a VPN.

[1] Neither this nor the barebones Google announcement page mention cameras, but I absolutely will not extend Google the benefit of the doubt given its "let's be evil as long as it makes us money" attitude. Until solid evidence to the contrary shows up, assume a #camera is included in these AR glasses.

It has been since the #QLoon bought it backed by the likes of MBS.
However, in so doing, it has been becoming less and less relevant.The real battle to watch is the one the #BeEvil company and the #RottenApple are fighting to subjugate the #OpenWeb.
