The Studio #Ghibli :bloboro: film is remastered and shown at #IMAX on May 19. It is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi.

When you watch #Arrietty in the #Disney translation, it is basically a different movie. They seem to take every opportunity when you don’t see the characters' mouths to add some dialogue.
I’m not a violent person, but people like that…

I love days like this, I felt steady! Better than my usual. Finished postcards AND a cowl! And we watched #Arrietty tonight, from Studio Ghibli. I was entranced! it reminded me so much of The Littles, a cartoon I adored as an 80’s kid. I knew The Borrowers was a book that inspired that, but somehow I’d missed Arrietty when it got made in 2010. I absolutely loved it, her adventurous spirit, her tiny sling bag, her courage, her barely-verbal but encouraging dad, her anxious mom. Great movie.

What's the worst thing about The Secret World of Arrietty? Shou. His character says some things that come out of nowhere and the relationship between him and Arrietty is uncomfortable.

I didn't go into this in my review of The Secret World of Arrietty, but Arrietty has a top-tier character design. I love the clip she uses for her hair; it's a great detail.

My favorite part of The Secret World of Arrietty was the exploration that happened mostly in the first half of the movie. I really enjoyed seeing Arrietty navigate the world around her as a tiny person.

I hadn't heard about The Secret World of Arrietty before it was suggested as a Discord movie night movie. So, I assumed it was a Studio Ghibli flop. But, it turned out to be better than I expected. #Arrietty

A months long film festival at the #cinema. With I believe every #Ghibli movie. Both #dub and #sub versions available. Check to see for theatre availability and times.

But you know the one thing I still wish to be now I'm grown man?
A Borrower. Just a little Borrower, living among the Bigs, with a pin as a sword, button as shield, exploring houses, keeping a herd of ants, riding a mouse or cat, maybe having relationships with fairies and sprites.
