#AntMan3 gesehen. Hab vorher nichts gesehen, nichts erwartet und war dann gut unterhalten und amüsiert.
Vor allem von einer Figur hätte ich nie gedacht, diese mal in „Live-Action“ zu sehen. -
CW: Quantumania politics (spoliers!)
Marvel is never that radical, but I did find Quantumania pretty progressive for an MCU film. Probably more so than Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which had antifa types in a sympathetic villain role. Quantumania has Cassie shrinking a cop car and going to jail for it without being characterized as villainous, only righteously rebellious because she does it standing up for homeless people. Parallel is made between her and Janet, the Quantum Realm freedom fighter, and so the cops (realistic American cops) are constructed in parallel with the faceless Kang goons of a fascist dystopia. Kang is symbolic of oppressive hierarchy, like the capitalist system that controls American cops, and he is defeated with the help of socialist ants. A protagonist even references socialism as something objectively good that we (Americans) should think about implementing. It's still an MCU film but remarkably leftist!

#Antman3 was alright, fairly entertaining but a long film about nothing & missed all my favourite silly elements of Ant-Man like the tiny cars & ants! Scott is just reduced to "anxious father" & Hope has no real role.
I wish we'd got to know the people of the Quantum realm! They were just chucked in, dropped and then picked up right at the end.
It wasn't awful but just ok, 7/10.
I'm less disappointed than I was by Love & Thunder! -

Well, #AntMan 3 was a LOT better than the critics are saying, at least in my opinion. Not one of the best Marvel movies, but only because that's a high bar to hit. But one of the best, if not the best, since Endgame, certainly. (I honestly don't remember most since Endgame, so...)

If the film holds up to this excellent trailer, I expect this film to land in my Top 3 Favorite MCU films in short order. Don't think I've ever been this excited about Kang the Conquerer.
