Walked in to Al Nalli Music on #MainStreet in #AnnArbor #Michigan circa early 1980s. The keyboard section was empty, just a bunch of cables and cords hanging off of keyboard racks. Me: "Did you get robbed or something?" Them: "Naw, #StevieWonder came in here and bought everything we had!" #HappyBirthday number 76 to a legend, a genius, and fellow tech nerd. 🎵 🎶 ⚡ 🎹 🎂 👍 😁 #Music #Motown #RhythmAndBlues Photo credit: Susan Wineberg, 1981.

I learned something new about double rainbows.
"A double rainbow occurs when the light undergoes two reflections inside the raindrop instead of just one.
In a double rainbow, the lower arc is the primary rainbow while the higher, fainter colored arc is the secondary rainbow.
The color sequence of the secondary arc is opposite to the primary one; red is on the inside of the arc and violet is on the outside."

I was on my way to the pottery studio late this afternoon -- a route that I take nearly every day. But I saw this view differently than I had previously.
I call it, “Water Tower Imitates Sky”.

Good morning! Trans kids are OUR kids.
Coach and AD expressed a little empathy and the district could NOT have that.
"Hesson had been on paid administrative leave for just over four months following the posting of a clip of an interview he did with Uncloseted Media, an LGBTQ+ news outlet, in which he expressed empathy for a student at Ann Arbor Skyline High School on the girls’ volleyball team who had been the subject of anti-transgender harassment and was the center of a Title IX complaint to the U.S. Department of Education from a parent of a student on the Monroe High School volleyball team."

Why did the turkey cross the road?
(There were actually two crossing Plymouth Rd at Murfin. The other drivers were very patient when the light turned green and the birds were still sauntering along the crosswalk.)

The tornado sucked part of the roof off of the Mathematical Reviews building (ex-Argus, ex-brewery) and dumped it on the other side of 4th St

EF-1 tornado in Ann Arbor last night is confirmed. We heard it, as it was right by us. Terrifying.
-
Wow, the city shared this video of a wall being ripped away at the ice rink near us. Still awaiting confirmation on whether or not it was a tornado.
Update: It was an EF-1 tornado with 110 mph winds.

My #AnnArbor neph Jacob Neilsen is a #guitar man. His latest is about the band #Geese. He writes about them and their guitars, here.
His wife's band was Jack and The Bear. They played the Monroe area and #Toledo mostly. Her 2 brothers and another kid made up the band.

"The idea is technical, but has sparked enthusiasm across Bryant and Ann Arbor: a new city-created Sustainable Energy Utility, known colloquially as the SEU.
Rather than replacing the privately owned utility that serves Ann Arbor, the plan is for this city agency to run in tandem, offering a supplemental service that residents can opt into."

If you lost your hubcap, it's on Edgewood Drive across from Scheffler Park. #AnnArbor #LostAndFound
