#California wildlife officials say they've confirmed a new #GrayWolf pack in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains — the farthest south a pack of wolves has been detected in the state in more than a century.

On a related note, the first article also mentions that two people involved in this horse kill-pen ring were convicted of animal cruelty FOR SLICING OPEN A DOG'S NECK ON SNAPCHAT.
Those men got a fine, no jail time, and were banned from owning an animal for ONE YEAR.
All of this, despite the research that shows #AnimalAbuse is highly correlated with other forms of violence and is often the stepping stone to hurting people.
