Dear fedi, I’m thinking on replacing some #networking hardware at my place. I need an #AccessPoint and another piece working as a #WiFi6 client for 2 PCs and a SteamLink, no need for mesh.
Considering
• GL.iNet Flint 2 for the AP,
• #Mikrotik hAP ax² for the client.Does this look OK? Other options worth considering? I like that #GLiNet uses #OpenWRT.

Eine #FritzBox.Ziel: Es soll ein Heim-LAN und ein Gast-LAN geben. Beides sowohl über Kabel als auch über #WLAN vorhanden.
Der Accesspoint soll über #POE gespeist werden.

Only after I have accessed the AP via the default password will I be able to install the webui to finally play with it. Of course I dont sit still. I will attack this interesting error tonight. I need to find where I misread the thorough docs

The router is a SBC Raspberry Pi5. The Raspap AP image is downloaded from the site and is vanilla. I'll check back in to say which exact image I downloaded, however the default AP pass should work.

Mein Access Point #NWA50AX PRO (AX3000) funktioniert grundsätzlich, aber nicht wie gewünscht. Aktuell erhalten WLAN-Endgeräte über die NAT-Funktion des APs IP-Adressen (z. B. 10.0.0.x), wodurch sie im zentralen Router nicht sichtbar sind. Im Local Bridge Mode jedoch bekommen die Geräte keine IP-Adressen vom Router zugewiesen – das ist das Hauptproblem in meinem Netzwerk.

Nachdem ich nun endlich mal angefangen habe, mich in #HomeAssistant einzuarbeiten, würde ich gerne auch den #Energieverbrauch einiger Geräte gesondert erfassen, damit ich für "Zuhause" nicht nur "Nicht erfasster Verbrauch" bekomme.
Die #Wallbox #Tinkerforge #Warp3 wird die Werte, nachdem ich sie in Home Assistent integriert habe, sicher liefern.
Bei #Geschirrspüler, #Waschmaschine, #Trockner, #Warmwasserwärmepumpe brauche ich ein #Energiemessgerät für die #Steckdose, die ich ins #WLAN einbinden kann.

Bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass das WLAN in der Waschküche gut genug ist. Das ist der einzige Raum ohne LAN-Buchse, über die man einen #Accesspoint in den Raum bringen könnte.
Wie bekomme ich die Energiedaten der 17 Jahre alten #Wärmepumpe ohne #Kommunikationsschnittstelle / #API angebunden? Vermutlich brauche ich dafür ein #Zangenenergiemessgerät 🤔
