Which container images is everbody using for running Nix related jobs in Forgejo Actions?
I cobbled together some container images which include Node.js for running most unmodified upstream actions, but I'm wondering if I just missed some great pre-existing ones.

🐳 If you are using the very, very old official PostgreSQL Docker image for PostgreSQL 8 (`postgres:8`), you might be interested in https://hub.docker.com/r/joschi/postgres8 which is a identical copy of the Docker image (`postgres:8`, `posgres:8.4`, `postgres:8.4.22`) which was still using the deprecated and planned for removal image manifest v2 schema 1 and "Docker Image v1" formats.

Ich hab seit ein paar Monaten so einen halbfertigen Text über meinen prominenten Ableismus-Fall in der Szene mit Marc und Joschi rumliegen, den ich wegen mental health nicht fertig machen und posten konnte.
Jetzt trau ich mich fast nicht mehr. Vielleicht zerstört das den Jahreswechsel für die beiden? Vielleicht ist die öffentliche Rezeption nicht gut, wenn ich jetzt noch, ein halbes Jahr später, damit ankomme? Vielleicht cared gar niemand mehr?

ROOTS IN RESISTANCE is a joint exhibition by photojournalists Greta Verlage, Joschi Wolf and Catwithacamera.
The project combines the exhibitions ‘Roots in Asphalt’ by Greta Verlage and ‘Fragments of Resistance’ by Joschi Wolf and Catwithacamera. With the event on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, we want to conclude the exhibition together.
There will be food, drinks and music. We will sell prints in exchange for donations.
All money from the event will go to 3ezwa - palestine legal found.

So Apple released some new laptops this week.
Time to ask: What's a good laptop nowadays which runs #Linux without any issues and has somewhat modern features?
My daily driver outside work is currently a Macbook Pro 14" 2021 (M1 Pro, 16 GiB RAM) and I'm quite happy with it. It has a nice form factor, it's snappy, the screen is great (resolution, brightness), and battery life is still great.
But I'd like to eventually get away from the Apple walled garden and back to Linux, and for that I'm looking for a similar laptop.
I've been running Linux as my main desktop OS from 2002 until 2014, so I'm used to a certain amount of pain. 😂I want it to have a good display, reasonably good battery life under Linux, a good keyboard, and ideally it should be extensible.
My typical usage is some mild programming (Java, Go, Rust), typical web surfing, and occasionally watching a movie. No games, so I don't need an Nvidia RTX 5090 which eats up the battery and heats my home.
Do you have any recommendations?
Also happy if it's an older model which can be acquired on the second-hand market.
