@Stark9837 @3dprinting I also recently have been printing #HSW boards and attachments and was wondering if anyone had did this. I’m currently trying to decide what orientation I like better

With a concept like this, the actual website need not be fedirated or decentralized, so the frontend.
Only the actual hosting of files, interaction, and records need to be. Thus, anyone could replicate it if the site goes AWOL.
Thus, I think #ActivityPup for user communication and data and then #IPFS for actual files. Using IPFS would even allow for versioning similar to #Git.
I have been toying with such an idea after working with #Redis: https://techhub.social/@Stark9837/110774137785339118
Will think about it and possibly make a prototype.

Do you know how to use the same local #hostname when connecting from my local network AND from my #wireguard #VPN?
I.e. pihole.local should point to
192.168.1.2 from local networkbut point to
100.200.200.2 when I'm connected to my VPNBy the way both IPs are the same server just different interfaces.

@Stark9837 @koz @3dprinting me and some folks on the Reprap festival circuit have been trying to resurrect the open source #deltaprinter scene with new designs and techniques.
It's been rough since Voron sucked a lot of oxygen out of the room and SeemeCNC has been nigh absent.
I've been working on some stuff to get more interest but time has been rough.

@Stark9837 @3dprinting Me too. I don't like the original #HoneycombStorageWall press-fit concept. I print with larger nozzles, layer heights and speeds and this frequently caused the original to not fit at all. My #Screwiverse inserts snap into place, lock extremely tightly when something is screwed in, and are just as easily to remove. The #Screwiverse with all its attachments is my first real project with #PythonSDF and I'm really happy how well it works for designing.

@Stark9837 @3dprinting Nice idea with the magnets. I might make a #Screwiverse attachment for this:

@Stark9837 @3dprinting I like the small #HoneycombStorageWall you have there 😉

@Stark9837 @3dprinting … ah, although it needs Klipper on the printer itself, and I’m not sure that’s possible with either machine (especially the #EasyThreed K7 where they are unwilling to share the #Marlin firmware source for my mainboard 😡)

@Stark9837 @Edent In recent days I have read a couple articles suggesting the #LePotato as a good replacement for the #RaspberryPi 3B - I have not used it personally so can't say how compatible it is with a real Raspberry Pi though. Be aware the ethernet connection is only 10/100, not GB.

@Stark9837 @3dprinting Haven’t happened to me, but yesterday #Fusion360 was “weird” and, at some point I got a message that there is a new version and to restart the app to update itself. I’ll try export to #3mf later to see whether the issue is there.

Over on our #MatrixSpace, many memes have started to evolve. One of which was intruduced by our filamant finatic @koz.
Koz found a lovely model
https://www.printables.com/model/553732-cute-dancing-fox-low-polysupportless, which quickly became or mascot and it now has its own deditacted room just foor speed printing the modelKoz was the first to submit a print andband now they are only memenber on the leadboard! We incite you all to join the MatrixSpace, come hang out with our shenanigans, and maybe submit your first sepeed FOXX.
From the @3dprinting community and @Stark9837, i would love to thank Koz for this fun meme and project that they came up with. It is intuition like this that helps communities to grow!

What made you decide on the #BoxTurtle instead of something like the Carrot Feeder, which is more popular? I've never heard of the BoxTurtle.

#selfhosting as a service will never be as profitable as #streaming services. As you can charge subscriptions and have constant income instead of these lifetime passes. They can't have enough new users build #homelabs and buy lifetime passes and remain profitable, unless they literally become a bank and invest their money to grow. So they will need a way to milk already invested users with some kind of service

Is #NinjaFlex still notoriously difficult to print like the legends have it?

What I do like about the XL is that they actually use Gcode. For example the #Qidi and #Creality printers have these built in Gcodes. So even with a vanilla #Klipper install, part of the starting Gcode is hidden begind these macros, unless you completely re-write them.
The XL actually uses the slicer Gcode for stuff like toolchangea. So you are able to change and tweak a lot.

This is an interesting idea, but even the #Ender3 has shown us that manufacturers will cut costs even for a few dollars. They would avoid using higher end screens, like the #P1P did, although the X1C vs P1P and #P1S screens are worlds apart.
Also using the same board would almost compromise the higher tier, providing less advantages for purchasing the "higher" tier printers. Although I do agree and build volume is a big thing in what determines the printer I would buy.
Bambu did the opposite by downgrading the screen, but keeping the volume and electronics the same for their cheaper printers.

Might just be me. But since I switched to a direct drive extruder, I have fewer skips, clogs, and unexplainable feeding problems.
Also, since I switched to CoreXY, I have fewer layer shifts and other weird artifacts.
Might just be a newer printer and higher build quality, but this is the biggest new change on my printer.
