ZAST.AI identified and verified CVE-2026-111210 (SSRF, CWE-918, CVSS 8.6) in bitcoinj BIP-70 payment handling, affecting 0.11.1–0.17 with no official fix.
The pki_type field is caller-controlled and "none" disables PKI verification even under verifyPki=true; payment_url is never validated, enabling internal-network access, signed-transaction exfiltration, and a response oracle from a single QR code.
bitcoinj-tools WalletTool and multiple forks are exposed.
Reproduced on unmodified releases; disclosed via GitHub #4386.
Integrators should allowlist https payment_url and reject non-routable addresses until upstream patches.

I'm finding it harder and harder to motivate myself to do this classwork. I'm 111 credits in to a 183 credit degree. I'm not even paying for it, and it's starting to feel like even one more year spent on a free degree that I'm 2/3's finished with still isn't worth it.
I'm not learning much, I already knew most of this. I'm getting the degree to prove to my employers (Current and potential future ones both) that I know what I'm about.
But if the Computer Science degree is made a worthless paper that the employers don't care about, and I'm not learning anything new I care about. What am I doing?
