Ran my first session of #starfinder2e yesterday. Honestly all I could think about was how much I like the #starfinder setting in general, the combo of detailed lore about the galaxy but also you can just put anything in there and it fits into a coherent whole. I just wrote and ran exactly as I would have for #Starfinder1e just with more coherent rules.
PCs seem powerful at level 1 and also complex. It _is_ a playtest though; they will be wanting to have any choice testing mechanic structures.

Castrovel inspiration
Artist is Mirco Paganassi (artstation - something commissioned explicity by Paizo for #starfinder .I stumbled upon the Harpy Jasmine while I was researching Alraune. Just as voracious, but less subtle, which may be a blessing or a curse. Known natively by the #lashunta as ~Karaliaru~ - the plant of sweet death, and ~kelyaliaru~ - vine of the dear song, this is but one of many plantlife on #castrovel that have learned to prey back on the animals. Given their danger, especially to children and the unwary, Lashunta would burn and toot them out...or would they? What use could be found for a plant so deceptive and deadly as this?

Friday Castrovel Inspiration
Artist: Arthur Haas (artstation)This pic raises some interesting possibilities. Assuming we're in Post-Gap #starfinder , why would a spaceship land amid the jungle, when #castrovel has perfectly good spaceports at multiple cities? Not willingly, I guess.
Then again, there is a more complex alternative: what if this ship came to Castrovel Pre-Gap, during PF's Age of Lost Omens (Golarion reckoning), the Age of the Pact in my homebrew #lashunta timeline. Certainly #pathfinder has contemplated and addressed space travel, both reaching and starting from Golarion. Why not Castrovel as well? If so, who might this be??

I have wondered how the things Lady Vaeol and her flagmates are doing in their early time, when only Thakasa flew and #lashunta warriors sailed on the wind to fight the Formians, may reflect (if at all) on the history of the Lashunta who later rule the heavens from Castrovel. What is one Damaya's tale?
