Ну ладно, в #Gajim еще можно поковыряться и сделать подобие папок, в которые раскидать чаты по аккаунтам (нет, не те папки, которые сохраняются на сервере, но хотя бы как-то).

А в #Conversations как быть? Там же просто вообще все чаты, личные и групповые, просто свалены в одну кучу, и если у тебя один и тот же контакт добавлен в два твоих аккаунта — выглядит абсолютно одинаково 🤯

Some friends use #Monal and they send me photos and voice messages (unfortunately). Things do work for them. I can't ask, what they do differently, because they are completely non-technical users. They don't even know, what #Jabber or #XMPP were. I.e. you encountered a problem, that is not that common. And instead of asking in the Monal groupchat or @Monal you prefer public ranting 🤷

Don't forget, that Whatsapp is based on #XMPP, too. Also Zoom, FCM, Grindr, and the chat function in Fortnite and other online games. You might still be using XMPP 🙂

I don't use Delta myself, but TTBOMK, yes, you can do A/V calls with it. Other free and federated options are Matrix, and my personal favourite, #Jabber/#XMPP. They have A/V calls, too.

I turned on the debug log. No activity. No upload slot requested. Nothing.

Messages go fine. Upload does not work at all. It's #monal version six point four point something. Not zero point six, no: exactly six point something. Years of if not development but at least asking ChatGPT and Claude to do that sort of things.

People! If you are planning to use #xmpp, just do not. I wasted three month with it, are you ready to do the same?

@kai_schwartz Anoxinon kann ich als XMPP-Anbieter sehr empfehlen. Habe dort seit Jahren meinen Hauptaccount und damit bisher keine nennenswerten Probleme gehabt. Außerdem ist mir die Organisationsstruktur als Verein irgendwie sympathisch - es ist kein profitorientierter Großkonzern der meine Daten verkauft, aber auch kein privates Hobbyprojekt was vielleicht eingestellt wird wenn der einzige Admin ein Kind bekommt oder so :)

+516 lines added and -2249 lines removed. Because sometimes you can make more with less 😽.

So for now you'll be able to join and leave audio and video calls in one click. You can also see who is calling in real-time in all the Groups you joined. 👀

The microphone level has been redesigned and the UI is now refreshing smoothly. 🎙️

Everything is working in full P2P and is based on the XMPP standard. No platform specific protocol.

You want to interoperate with Movim? Implement XEP-0272: Multiparty Jingle. Et voilà! ✨

Something big is coming for audio and video calls in Movim 😯

You will soon be able to see in real time when your contacts are calling each-others in a group call and join whenever you want... leave, and join again.

Once everything is stabilized the feature will be added to Spaces.

We are this close to have audio (and video) rooms in Spaces 🤏
