I thought I would give the Saint Arnold Cold IPA a try. This Houston brew is supposed to combine the characteristics of a lager with those of an IPA.

A lot of people seem to love it, but I found it to be nothing but a mediocre IPA.

Tupps -- Evil Dankster IPA

I'm unable to distinguish all the flavors and aromas one reads about on specialist beer sites, but the hoppiness and fruitiness I can taste impress me favorably.

Nevertheless, at 9% ABV I can't drink a lot of this.

Je suis entrain d'aligner les règles de transcription en IPA de `Epitran` sur celles que j'ai créé pour `o2i` / `orthography2ipa`.

Le résultat est presque parfait. Même s'il y a là ou ça ne "match" pas mais c'est marginal. ça reste utilisable :)

La différence, c'est la transcription de quelques voyelles : a, i, u (donc pas vraiment d'impact structurel).

Il va y avoir du nouveau pour la transcription #IPA en kabyle et une correction majeure du #G2P Graphème To Phonème.

Je me suis couché à 3h du matin, je crois à cause de la chaleur mais aussi à cause de l'IPA.

When 3D printing, I frequently encountered problems with losing my atomizer bottle with #IPA for degreasing the mat. So I made myself a simple #holder and mounted it on the printer enclosure. I hope someone can utilize it or even improve 😉

#orthography2ipa est parmis les rares outils qui prennent en charge la langue #kabyle, par exemple.

My Comments to Sinclair Davidson's (IPA) article in Crickey News about the announced AI policy:

"NOT ALL AIs are GenAI CHATBOTS.
There is an erroneous tendency, in our news outlets, to lump all coded AI systems under the single "AI" label which not only confuses the issues and problems to be delt with, but also fail to inform the public (voters and consumers) on the different software applications and their requirements. Most of this conflation is quite obviously deliberate and only serves the interests of the 'overvalued' stock holders in LLM-based General Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) systems -- I call these software apps 'text regurgitating machines" making full use of the GIGO paradigm.

So much marketing hype has been unleashed on the world by a congery of dubious tech speculators that, combined with their propensity to champion a debunked (2008) Neoliberal economic system, are set to impose their ponzie scheme on the gullible and the unprepared to pocket the profits -- at least until their bubble bursts. LLMs (Large Language Models) and their requirement for mega-sized storage and computing power (datacentres) are surreptitiously riding the technology wave of other, very useful, tightly curated LLMs used by task specific AI applications which do not require the massive storage and computing hardware that most news outlest is talking about -- including your article.

The fourth Estate has a social licence to inform society, but ought not to parot the propaganda lies of wealthy individuals set to pillage and rape the world for their own self interests. At the very least, Crickey ought to require clarity in its published material, and in this case, ensure that clear differences between various AI systems are identified before selecting one of them to report or comment on.

An #ABCNews piece by #JacobGreber (posted 8 hrs ago) dregs out the old #NeoLiberal #TrickleDownPonzieScheme idea that if you point detractors to some #CheeryPicking you might stop them from focusing on the abundance piled up in the mansion’s pantry. The headline says it all: “Curbing well-off taxpayers' access to key programs could save billions.” Which double talk for : Here are the crumbs we been promissing for the last 40 years, but don’t look at the dinner table. Of course, the author of the article quotes the #IPA (an old conservative mouthpiece) to bolser the argument, there’s at least ‘$20 billion” to be saved from the budget here.

Let’s be clear. This is an #Opinion piece, not an #Analysis.

1) All Australian citizens and permanent residents ought to be entitled to appropriate social services regardless of their wealth or standing in the community.
2) If you tax the #Rich and #SuperProfits to redistribute weatlh for the greater benefit of society as a whole there would be more than $20B on offer to build a fairer and more equitable Australia.
