It's certainly true that the initial #Covid19 vaccine roll-out was phenomenally successful.
But I find it troubling that the government has largely given up on covid vaccines in more recent years.
The vaccines have undoubtedly saved lives, but they don't have a brilliant duration of immunity. Regular boosters are essential to maintain protection.
And regular boosters are no longer available on the NHS for the vast majority of us.

@sean @PoliceStateUK The trouble with #GreenPartyUK is that there isn't one: we have 3 administratively separate green parties in the UK: #GreenPartyEnglandAndWales, #ScottishGreens, and #GreenPartyNI.
Though that still doesn't help, because while I think #ScottishGreens is hashtag with at least some use, I kind of made the other 2 up and I don't think either is particularly common.

@MacNaBracha I love the subtle differences in the way English is spoken north and south of the border. Down here in England, we refer to him as the #FrogFacedGrifter, but actually I think the Scottish version of that has a great ring to it.

The government really need to listen to Lord Robertson. He knows what he's talking about, and the world is no longer a safe place. We need to be prepared for the world that we actually live in, not the world that we'd like it to be.

Wait, is that #Epstein in the bed? Is the Tangerine Tyrant fantasising about raising Epstein from the dead?
Seriously, WTF is the point of the 25th amendment if it's not being used when there is incontrovertible evidence that the president has gone totally bonkers.

So here's evidence that things are going in the right direction. At the end of last year, Reform UK were the bookies' odds-on favourite to win the next UK general election.
Well, they're still favourite, but no longer odds-on, now 7/5.
And look where the green party are now: 13/2, only marginally behind the Tories. Just a few months ago I think that was more like 200/1.

Oh, I think we need to cut the guy some slack.
Which among us can truly claim that we've never accidentally failed to pay £91K in tax after it was funneled through one of our offshore trusts? It's easy to overlook such a trifling sum.

CW: UK Politics, Brexit
This seems like a step in the right direction.
Long term, we need to be back in the EU, but with the best will in the world, that's several parliaments away.
In the short term, closer alignment with the EU single market to reduce some of the costs and bureaucracy of #Brexit is probably a good start.

I guess we're *probably* not heading for imminent nuclear Armageddon, but I really think it would be good to invoke the 25th Amendment before 8 pm Eastern time this evening, just to be on the safe side.

And talking of war crimes, can someone who knows more about them than I do explain how "universal jurisdiction" works?
Obviously Trump is never going to be held accountable for war crimes in the US, as it seems to be the law there that the president is above the law.
But that's not the law in Europe. Could he be arrested and sent to the Hague if he travels to a European country that has the cojones to do something about it?
-
If the Tangerine Tyrant ever ends up in The Hague - as he absolutely should if he goes through with these threats - I think the prosecution is going to find the whole premeditation thing is a total slam dunk.

Well this is quite the headline:
"Doctors lose new jobs package as strike to go ahead"
No, they didn't "lose" it. Looking down the back of the sofa will not help.
The government made an active decision to take new jobs away from junior doctors.
This surely puts an end to any possibility of believing that Starmer's government wants to fix the NHS.
