I can see your point, but I tend to have a more optimistic view.As the #French Revolution blew away the oligarchs of old (#aristocrats), I think the pendulum of history has reached its maximum amplitude: wealth concentration in the hands of #billionaires, #trusts, and #multinationals is about to reach its climax.
If the momentum of the #Fediverse could be kept, #society just might reach...

The urgency to do something about #SocialMedia #regulation is even greater, as in the wake of the #ProjectAnalyticaSummit it now turns out that the #CambridgeAnalytica #DataLeak was just the tip of the #iceberg.
To remedy this, only a shutdown of #Facebook seems to be the cure.
#NationalizeFacebook is no solution, as governments should not hold this amount of information about their citizens:

This toot post reminds me of the time I stopped at a field and picked a lovely bouquet of yellow flowers for my wife.
She absolutely loved them.
Unfortunately, it was ragweed, and she is deathly allergic to ragweed, which we did not know, and we had a severe medical emergency. She took a heavy whiff to smell them. She spent a couple days in the hospital over it.
The actual bouquet images of me holding them in the car after picking them.

I get what you are saying, but this #parasite enters the #brain through the nose, by traveling through the #nerve that relays information about smells from the #nose to the brain.
People can't develop primary amebic #meningoencephalitis (PAM) by swallowing N. fowleri or by interacting with an already-infected person.

@RickiTarr @noondlyt Ya, I wouldn't paint every rich person with that sort of broad brush. Without the one rich person named Carnegie, this entire country would be without public libraries. Warren Buffet made his stash simply by working the stocks/bonds markets. But I'll admit that such rich people are few and far between; we can now find a new rich person among us who started a foundation for underserved kids and he's fresh off of his glory of the Super Bowl Half-Time show. Dolly Parton gets honorable mention.
