Ist es zu spät, für Vogel-Fotos den Hashtag #Federverse zu etablieren?

Question for people who understand the #Federverse: Here’s screenshots of @helenczerski’s post as viewed by me (blue background) and by her (black background) that were taken at the same time, showing different reply, boost and star counts. Why?

I'm not the only one walking away from Twitter. My good buddy, and #cocktailian Jacob Grier, in Portland, is taking similar steps (though he doesn't have a(n active) #Federverse account).

EDIT: as @Cyberpreppy points out, @jacobgrier is on Mastodon, but not active.

Suggestion: Visit Jacob on these other platforms and suggest he fire up his Mastodon account! He's got a lot to say, and most (not all lol) of it is great!

@Pineywoozle I’ve been checking out some of the informational pieces I’ve stumbled on while exploring the #Federverse but this graphic is the best encapsulation so far (picture is worth a thousand words + all the words in the picture…). It reinforces why following folks across a wide range of Instances is a good idea. I’ve been reading though your replies to so many newbies, and love the vibe you are bringing to sorting out, and helping folks adjust to, this lovely, mysterious new land…

@hollyoreilly of a sort…it seems to be more of a community/conversation—complete with identifiable leadership and rules-based governance, as well as a much greater transparency around those things. Instances post who is running them along with clear terms of use. One of the biggest problems with that other site is that, while there were (supposedly) rules of conduct, they were at best obtuse, and more likely nonexistent (or, at least, poorly enforced/applied)…

There are still some connections that rely on Twitter, so I’ve not abandoned it completely. However, I’m spending far more time exploring and enjoying the #Federverse. In particular the tilt towards respect and consideration for others, not-to-mention the more civil and wide-ranging discourse. It seems it is possible for people to hold differing opinions and maintain levels of civility.

Es gibt einiges an software die mit dem #federverse zusammenarbeiten

#Pixelfed wird bald erwachsen mit der 2.0er version. #Wordpress arbeitet dank von #pfefferles plugin auch. Nur sucht eine forumssoftware vergebens, jedenfalls ist mir noch untergekommen.
