Israelische Regierung boykottiert Haaretz Tel Aviv. Die linksliberale israelische Zeitung #Haaretz ist nach eigener Darstellung darüber informiert worden, dass Regierungsstellen nicht mehr mit der Redaktion kommunizieren oder in dem Medium Anzeigen schalten wollen. Ein entsprechender Vorschlag des Medienministers sei von Regierungschef Benjamin #Netanjahu gebilligt worden, berichtete Haaretz am Sonnabend.Hintergrund der Maßnahme sei eine Rede von Verleger Amos #Schocken im vergangenen Monat, in der er von #Israel als einem #Apartheidstaat und von den Palästinensern als »Freiheitskämpfern« gesprochen hatte. [...] Those U.S. Jews actually lived through one Trump presidency, and fought the violent #antisemitism and anti-Muslim bigotry that marked its term and the anti-democratic insurrection that capped its tenure. They follow, first-hand, the increasingly dark language of racist incitement, threats and Christian nationalism that characterize his campaign speeches. They know he presents a clear and present danger to the conditions upon which American Jews depend to live and thrive, not least because of his encouragement of antisemitism and bigotry, his attack on women's rights, and his explicit commitment to undermining liberal democracy.
