I can't believe it myself, but yes, I've made #Dillo my default browser on my personal laptops. It's never been my default, even though I've used it occasionally, off-and-on, for 25 years. XD
I still fire up #LibreWolf (#firefox fork) occasionally on those machines, but #DilloBrowser fits in this neat space between terminal browsers and "full-fat" browsers like Librewolf and #luakit.
I'm just wishing it had a "follow mode" for following links from the keyboard, and wondering if there was some way to make it use the clipboard by default, instead of primary selection. I don't quite understand why classic X11 programs use primary selection so much. XD

Does anyone have a sample
~/.dillo/style.cssthat defines a basic black-on-white color scheme? I couldn't find where the default colors are defined in the source code. (I mean, I was just searching for a css file in the repo :D )Update: this worked swimmingly:
$ cat .dillo/style.css * { color: #000!important; background-color: #fff!important; }Update 2: This works a little better, as it doesn't override anything, but still makes the default black-on-white:

Is there any way to force-increase the DPI in #Dillo? I'm using wayland fractional scaling with KDE Plasma, and the interface is super teensy. :D

I just discovered [rdrview], a command-line "reader view" for websites, and I absolutely love it. Absolutely going to be a part of my terminal-life arsenal from now on. It cuts through a lot of the visual cruft you're subjected to when viewing websites on the terminal.
Kudos to @bbbhltz for turning me on to it via his excellent [post on Dillo].

I think it's darling that the #dillo web browser is (kinda?) still being worked on (at least as of 2015+).
Considering how endearingly *dinky* it is, how limited it is, how *gloriously* little RAM it uses, and the fact that It's been in development since 1999, I think that's all just freaking fantastic.Go Dillo, go!!
I remember using it in the very early naughties, so I think it's fantastic that it's still around :)

Smokeping has its own web interface. It should be feasible to create fping with influxdb/Prometheus and create graphs in Grafana as well. But for now I just setuped https://smokeping.melroy.org/

@dillo I there. There is another tool, which I like even more. It's called #fping and #smokeping https://github.com/oetiker/SmokePing. And they just released a new version v2.9.0: https://oss.oetiker.ch/smokeping/pub/smokeping-2.9.0.tar.gz. Smokeping is using
fpingunder the hood. You can also run fping solo.Anyhow, here are my results of just the ping command:

Managed to make Dillo pass a small subset of the Web Platform Tests, which is the reference test suite for modern web browsers.
So far, the CSS2 tests¹ report:
3032 BAD
5359 FAIL
787 OKWhich is not too bad, given the large number of CSS features missing in Dillo. Now it would be easier see what is properly supported and detect regressions.
BAD typically means the test requires JS and FAIL that there is a mismatch with the reference render.
