I think you mistake short term tactics with long term strategy; I see no prospect of #labour becoming another #littleEngland party, nor of the #libDems allowing the oxygen for a rival #proEU party to launch. I seem to recall Chukka & co tried that in 2019 and crashed & burned.
You might want a political scenario that allows a #returnToEu within a few years, but I cannot see one...there will be a #majorityLabourGovt come the #nextGE

I can't see much reason for a surge in tory support - but I can see the danger of #shyTories - people unwilling to admit their support for the insupportable who will nevertheless vote for them if they are nervous of the alternative.
I suspect #starmer sees that danger too - there will be no grand promises to turn #brxitBritain into a #socialistUtopia
-
? really? I cannot see a #toriesOut resurgence even as #brexit sinks the economy - it will take far more than #5yrs for the #kipperTories to accept the error of their ways - if they ever do.
So who takes over from this #oneTerm #labour govt?
The last #oneTermGovt left power in 1974 (Ted Heath) and the last #labour one in .... 1923 at the end of their first ever (minority) spell in govt (Attlee actually won in 1950 with a majority of just 5 but then lost in 1951)

Interesting to consider difference between current #kipperTory party & what we might have under #pr
We'd not have a wide party all the way from cautious supporters of status quo to wilds of #englishNationalism - instead we'd have parliament including smaller parties
like #reform (nativists), maybe pro-business party and socially conservative party (possibly with an islamic flavour)Each smaller party would be more rigidly centred on a core & fight for that core

LOL. I'm mindful that sometimes it's difficult for people to envisage these kinds of numbers.
Alternatively, I could say a good size crowd at a League of Ireland game. Maybe use stadium capacities 😜
Opting for a #GAA approach when do we get to a capacity, Croke Park?

Long time no see/read.LA's "safety concern" regarding #Mifepristone is a canard. Their complaint claims they've had to pay "thousands in Medicaid fees for people who were harmed" by the medication.
"Thousands" of dollars in medical fees state wide isn't even a rounding error when it comes to hospital costs.
Mifepristone is safer than Tylenol (which is also available by mail.) They likely pay more remedying Tylenol reactions, yet they aren't calling to stop its sale. 🤔

Spent the first part of Saturday with a list of errands. Things started off shaky with a failure to get some accounts configured at the bank (they are better prepared / staffed Monday-Friday).
Popped in the mall* to kill time and pick up wired EarPods. The wireless variety fall out of my ears and annoy me when I shake my fist at clouds.
Next was a hunt for a very specific birthday gift at a second hand store and turning up bupkis.
Lunch Torchy’s Tacos afterward eased the disappointment. The Austin-based chain recently opened an outpost in the outer ring burbs of Cincinnati. We understand why it was packed as the tacos and green chile queso were extremely good.
This put us in direct line of appliance stores to check out dishwashers. They’re all silver boxes with slight variations on handle design.
* Kenwood Towne Centre now has a Sock Emporium and I feel like this is the a nail in its coffin

Apple eased guidelines to allow for game emulators to be distributed through their App Store.
The first one I’ve downloaded is the free Delta emulator. It supports a good handful of original Nintendo consoles with more to come. The Verge has a good write up with details.
Loading ROMs is easy. Delta intelligently hides onscreen controls when a Bluetooth controller is present. You can Airplay the game to a screen and it works fairly well. (And yes, Android phones have had these emulators for a while, but it’s nice to have them available on Apple’s store.)
Here’s the thing though, I doubt I’ll spend much time playing any of these old games. I’ve oodles of classics available on the Switch, old consoles that still work in storage boxes and a Raspberry Pi set up specifically for emulation. I love the idea of playing old games, but when it comes down to it? I’d rather be doing something else.
There’s joy in the possibility though, and sometimes that’s nice to have on hand.

Alternate photos for the day could have been the dusty gap underneath the dishwasher with dangling control board, screwdriver and flashlight. Or it could have been the green lights suggesting it was fixed after much grunting and cursing.
The win was short lived. All the lights eventually blinked off and no percussive maintenance or cycling of the fuse would fix the issue.
Time to get a professional involved (or a new dishwasher).
So instead of dust bunnies and wires, here is a lovely assortment of hand painted rocks I photographed for my friend Mike. He came with boxes of them and stacks of drawings — all collaborations with his son. We documented the whole lot in short order and it was delightful to catch up and help out.
