I think you mistake short term tactics with long term strategy; I see no prospect of #labour becoming another #littleEngland party, nor of the #libDems allowing the oxygen for a rival #proEU party to launch. I seem to recall Chukka & co tried that in 2019 and crashed & burned.
You might want a political scenario that allows a #returnToEu within a few years, but I cannot see one...there will be a #majorityLabourGovt come the #nextGE
