Ok, people of #Mastodon, can anyone explain to me why it is not possible to somehow connect #ActivityPub and #ATProto. It seems a bit ridiculous to me that we have #alternatives to #BigTech that seem to work against each other.

Can someone please explain to me why #Bluesky stans are so obsessed with claiming there is no algorithm on Bluesky?
Like, are they just trying to compete with Mastodon, or what?
Because there _obviously is_ a _default_ algorithm on Bluesky. Sure, you can change it, but the first time you log in, with zero follows, the default view, the algorithmic Discover timeline, is right there feeding you infinitely scrollable content you didn't select. -

Wenn es bei #Bluesky und #ATProto ein wenig hakt...
Ich glaube das #Fediverse muss sich Null dahinter verstecken und das schoene ist, dass immer mehr User:innen es als Alternative entdecken.

Un'altro bel passo avanti di #bluesky nel #fediverso, nell'ultimo mese sono state superate le 100mila interazione federate!
Praticamente sono federati un numero di post e commenti al mese quasi pari a quelle di mastodon.uno, da M1 si possono seguire e commentare anche i molti italiani che bontà loro stanno ancora su Bluesky (e magari convincerli a venire qui).
Per chi ancora non è connesso a bluesky basta seguire il bridge: @bsky.brid.gy

I have remarked that in some countries january/february 2025 is like a stop point for many people to stay on #bluesky (I see this in the date of the LAST post of the people I try to follow)
