It is fairly simple to moderate a simplex space or decentralised spaces in general its just you have to think about it differently
The internet at large isn't moderated the way we would like social spaces to be moderated but that doesn't mean that the internet at large is inherently unsafe to use
How did you arrive at mastodon over twitter or bluesky it wasn't because there was some overarching internet moderation that told you this is where you are allowed to be
To moderate a decentralised space you just moderate your corner of it. As soon as you create an apparatus to moderate the whole ecosystem then you have created a fascist tool that will disproportionately be leverageable by people with more compute and infrastructure ie the wealthy
This is exemplified by the fact that signal servers use AWS infra, and amazon is a trump loyalist company who can at an instants notice cut access to signal for everyone as soon as it becomes too inconvenient - internet blackouts are a thing during revolutions so signal blackout isnt beyond the pail and somewhat related but Apple removed the ICE sighting app when it became inconvenient to US government
If the practical limitation of this style of moderation is that you can only afford to moderate semi closed invite only groups then that is still valuable: this is how most activist signal groups work anyway - but even within decentralised systems like matrix or simplex you can still delegate moderation rights with chat permission hierarchies to make moderating larger groups feasible.

Es sorprendente en una red social privada porque es una función que juega a la contra de que se viralicen esos mensajes y a favor de que sus usuarios sientan un poco más de seguridad a la hora de escribir. Radical, verdad?

BlueSky is an Engagement Platform, not a social network.
Being a one-house Engagement Platform means: VC, marketing, advertising, algorithms, and a one-house login.
Of course their "uptake" is faster. Duh.
The #Fediverse is a real social network, consisting of many houses, many logins, no VC, no marketing, and no algorithm.
STOP comparing them like they're equivalents.
All that said, Mastodon(, et al) should *absolutely* copy the 1/x feature!

Today I will finally move from the US Bsky server to the European @eurosky.social !
Open decentralized social networks are the best. No lock-ins, pure freedom!
Anyone of you who has done it and had problems following the official instruction ( https://eurosky.tech/accounts/migrate/ ) ? -
Just found an issue with the skyfleet
it was producing duplicates on 6 or 7 accounts of the fleet.the reason ? I had not fully decommissioned the old docker deployment, so when I restarted the VM, the systemd service did its job and restarted part of the fleet, this created a situation in which the fleet plus individual duplicates containers for some account were running at the same time, hence creating duplicates.
It’s now solved !
