  1. Hey learned Fedi friends, what are your reckons on a 4-year electoral term? I can't get past how appalled I would be if this lot were in for an extra year, which is hardly a rational or considered position #OneTerm

  4. Since coming to power a bit over 18 months ago, this rightwing government led and dominated by conservative mostly white men has blatantly enabled attacks on the rights of Māori, the trans community, people with disabilities and now women.
This is a truly bad government - in 3 key ways: it has and is grossly mismanaging the economy, denying environmental & climate damage, and harming the human and civil rights of the vast majority of it's citizens.

  9. What stood out for me when Seymour's mic was taken away at #waitangi - his body language. Stiff little bantam. Affronted but deeply uncertain.

Its extraordinarily bad that this dangerous small man has been allowed to accrue so much power under a non-leader like Luxon. #NZpol #oneterm

? really? I cannot see a #toriesOut resurgence even as #brexit sinks the economy - it will take far more than #5yrs for the #kipperTories to accept the error of their ways - if they ever do.

So who takes over from this #oneTerm #labour govt?

The last #oneTermGovt left power in 1974 (Ted Heath) and the last #labour one in .... 1923 at the end of their first ever (minority) spell in govt (Attlee actually won in 1950 with a majority of just 5 but then lost in 1951)
