Do you know what the number of cases was (re “at least 29 deaths from measles”)? Asking as the old rule of thumb for deaths from measles was 10% of those who caught it; nowadays with better nutrition etc we’d expect that to be lower… which suggests a huge number of cases. ☹️
Hope those concerned can run the catch up immunisation programs successfully & reduce further needless deaths. A terrible situation because measles is so infectious. 😪

This is the most accurate info you can get (it comes directly from the government agency that takes care of health in Mexico. (I round numbers), about 24,000 cases notified but out of them about 9,000 were confirmed to be measles. There are about 4,000 cases in study as probable measles.
