There is a good reason not to to support the Guardian: senior editors are TERFs, and they've made it an official policy to push transphobia in their articles.
A few years ago, I paid a subscription to the Grauniad because I believed it was good to pay their journalists. But then I unsubscribed when I saw the awful level of their transphobia, and I cannot in good conscience support that.

Also, every time I call it #TheGrauniad, I have a little smile to myself and feel a little bit bad. Because in the days when that name was most fitting, I was still at school and the bloke over the road (“Uncle Harry”) was a proofreader for #TheGuardian in Manchester.
He’s long gone now, but I think of him every time I have to spell ‘necessary’, because he taught me a #mnemonic so I didn’t misspell it, and I say it in my head every time I write that word to this day, more than 40 years later.

There was a line in the opening paragraph of this article that was so good, I was going to quote it. But the more I read, the more brilliant it became and there’s so much to quote, I’d better just post the article. It’s very much well worth a read.
