On LibreOffice Calc, I think one first needs to use the array function FREQUENCY for histograms and then plot it, so it's not direct:
"Indicates the frequency distribution in a one-column-array. The function counts the number of values in the Data array that are within the values given by the Classes array."

Wenn man xlr-Dateien hat, übernimmt #LibreOfficeCalc die Formatierung einfach. Auch wenn es die Font nicht kennt.

Bare with me but F2 as a shortcut for editing the content of the selected cell in Libre Office Calc / Excel / … is useless. Why putting so far from our fingers an action that we may need to use hundreds of times of day in such softwares?

Non-obvious operations in a spreadsheet like LibreOffice Calc:
1. Reverse the order of e.g., column A, between rows 1 and 614. Paste into B1:
=INDEX(A1:A614,SEQUENCE(ROWS(A1:A614),,ROWS(A1:A614),-1))
... and it will populate the whole column B until row 614.2. Cumulative sum of column A to be written in column B, paste this into B1:
=SUM(A$1:A1)
... then extend that formula to the last row.But that does too much work (sums the column up to the row for every cumulative sum). Another option is:
* at B1, type: =A1
* at B2, type: =B1 + A2
* extend B2 to the end. -

J’essaye d’utiliser certaines fonctionnalités de libre office calc dont j’ai absolument besoin (entre autre créer un index et pouvoir figer deux lignes) mais mon libre office ne me propose pas les options qui existent pourtant normalement. J’en ai déduis que c’était un pb de mise à jour mais impossible de savoir si j’ai la dernière version ou d’en installer une autre… -

Habt ihr eine einfache Möglichkeit gefunden, in LibreOffice Calc Zebrastreifen“ unter den Reihen anzuwenden?
Also immer diese abwechselnden Farben pro Reihe?Da würde ich mich mal langfristig über einen einfachen Knopf freuen.
Aktuell mache ich das über die Bedingte Formatierung und eine Formel. -

One feature in LibreOffice that I find SO useful, is the "Export Directly as PDF".
Literally one click and a save window pops up. And the PDF includes ALL unhidden tabs! Nice! Certainly easier than in Excel.

Finally! I figured out some LibreOffice Calc conditional formatting. This makes my spreadsheet much easier to interpret the status of my job applications submissions.
Learning is nice feeling where everything starts clicking together.

LibreOffice Calc Question: I have a Data Validation list with various status values. When I choose ‘No Longer Accepting’ from the list, I want the entire row background color to turn gray to de-emphasize it, so I can skip reading the record. Can I create/apply a style to apply for the entire row?
I've only managed to change the color for a single cell.

I was importing books from a different website into @bookwyrm and wanted to remove a couple and my personal notes just so they didn't accidentally get published to the internet. So I edited my csv by removing those parts and somehow ruined it, spent half an hour trying to fix it. That was yesterday. I tried again today and was somewhat smarter with how I handled the csv and it is currently importing correctly!

Just ran into a brutal #UI / #UX problem in LibreOffice Calc, on a Debian bookworm system, fully up to date.
1. Decide to print spreadsheet
2. Open print dialog
3. Preview is in the left pane, options in the right.
4. Scroll down in the options pane to find an option near the bottom.
5. Change setting, or not.
6. Scroll back up to the top of the options pane, using the pointing device vertical scroll wheel.
7. If the "number of copies" scrollbox happens to pass under the mouse pointer, it will rapidly increase the number of copies. It's not particularly obvious this is happening; it's easy to miss the value is changing.
8. Move the mouse pointer slightly up and scrolling the options pane continues.
9. Click "print".Voila! 23 copies of what you wanted to print a single copy of.
I actually ran into this while trying to debug a totally different UI / UX bug 😱

Ich habe in LibreOffice Calc eine Spalte in der verschiedene Ausprägungen öfters vorkommen. Ich würde gerne mittels Formel (Funktion) alle Ausprägungen auf einem anderen Tabellenblatt auflisten. Ich möchte ungerne eine Pivotabelle dazu benutzen. Gibt es eine Funktion, mit der ich jede Ausprägung einmal ausgeben kann? Per Suchmaschine habe ich leider nichts passendes gefunden.
