Tonight we should expect that:
1.) No matter who appears to be winning, at around 11pm (EST) Trump will prematurely declare victory just like he did last time.
2.) Also like last time, If Trump happens to have a lead in the count at any point in the night, he and his people will call for the count to stop and may begin to protest and harass swing state election workers.
3.) Unless the election is a surprise blowout, counting will continue well into tomorrow.

#Portland and #VancouverWA PSA: Some fascist asshole(s?) set fire to 2 ballot drop-off boxes in the Portland metro area this morning:
- Southeast 164th Avenue, near the Fisher's Landing Transit Depot, Vancouver, WA (Hundreds of ballots damaged or destroyed.)
- Southeast Morrison Street, Central Eastside, Portland, OR (Three ballots destroyed)
Now is a good time to track your ballot, especially if used these boxes.

Case in point: #Japan, where #cannabis "hemp" was historically a dominant, affordable textile fabric of the masses. A native plant that grew in the mountains like a weed for millennia.
As much of the world moderates, in December Japan is enacted new laws against cannabis that threaten people with 7 YEARS in prison for USE, and not even possession.
Effects on tourism aside, this law will ruin the lives of countless Japanese people. Why? For a lie?

UPDATE: Our kitten Poppy is in week 6/12 of #gs441524 treatment for #FIP and doing incredibly well so far.
She's acting healthy, gained some weight, and last week her blood labs came back looking normal!
There's still a risk of relapse, so the treatment continues as planned for now, but it's become much easier (for her and us) since we switched to pills.
A cure feels promising in Poppy's case. 😸

UPDATE: I managed to get in touch with #FIPWarriors 5.0 (even made a facebook account to do it), and thanks to them I was able to drive to another town and get my hands on some #gs441524 and begin giving it to my kitten.
I've had probably 8 hours of sleep total over 3 days. I'm emotionally and physically exhausted and the last few days have been an absolute roller coaster of different feelings. But right now I feel HOPE.
Thank you to everyone who pointed me in the right direction.

Finished #GalaxyExpress999 (series) last night. My first ever #LeijiMatsumoto work. Followed someone's filler guide, so I skipped a bunch of episodes here and there, but I'll definitely check out the rest at some point.
Great characters, interesting scenarios, and something to say. A perfect story for modern times wrt tech/ai.
Overall I really enjoyed it and came away with a real appreciation for Matsumoto's style of storytelling and his huge influence on other things that I love.

So I replaced the valve cover on my car's leaky engine a few weekends ago.
I've never done any auto repair work before so it was kind of a daunting job and ended up taking up an entire Friday and Saturday, but I did it!
So far so good and saved ~$1400 (even factoring in time and tools.)
BMWs seem to fall the fuck apart at around 70k miles, and there are still other problems that need to be fixed so... "to be continued" i guess...

CW: Castlevania Symphony of the Night Spoilers.
For example, last year I played SotN for the first time.
I used a map to find the last few rooms in order to get the best ending. For me that was more fun than wandering around for days trying to find it all the old fashioned way.
I also used the Shield Rod (which I read was "strong") to accidentally kill the last boss in ~400ms, and we laughed our asses off about it. Easy but still makes me smile.
Great games leave you with great memories.

Hopefully the various IP (Gunbuster, Diebuster, FLCL, TTGL, etc) can be clawed back and all ends up with the original creators and rightful owners.

Sad to hear that Hepcat singer Gregory Lee passed away recently. He certainly had a sweet and clear voice.
Didn't listen to a lot of Hepcat frankly, but I love the tracks "I Can't Wait" and "Riding the Region" that were on the Hellcat Records "Give 'Em The Boot" compilations, which I listened to constantly throughout high school. Nostalgic for me, and otherwise fantastic chill tunes in that classic ska/soul pocket for sure.

I'm lukewarm on remakes in general, but I have to say that the Super Mario RPG remake is fantastic and it feels like a real love letter to the original game in everything from the graphics and the scripting to the sound. I'm kind of blown away by it.

EVO Strive and SF6 top 6 last night were really good.
SF6 is a really dynamic and interesting game overall, and basically all of the mechanics came into play. I still love that burnout just peels off most of the layers, bringing the game back to somewhat-SF2 style fundamentals.
