UPDATE: Our kitten Poppy is in week 6/12 of #gs441524 treatment for #FIP and doing incredibly well so far.

She's acting healthy, gained some weight, and last week her blood labs came back looking normal!

There's still a risk of relapse, so the treatment continues as planned for now, but it's become much easier (for her and us) since we switched to pills.

A cure feels promising in Poppy's case. 😸

I never imagined that I'd have to meet with my cat's drug dealer, but here we are! 🙀

Learning about #FIP, #GS441524 and the whole underground (now quasi-legal) apparatus that exist to fight against this common and deadly #cat disease has been both interesting and scary as fuck.

UPDATE: I managed to get in touch with #FIPWarriors 5.0 (even made a facebook account to do it), and thanks to them I was able to drive to another town and get my hands on some #gs441524 and begin giving it to my kitten.

I've had probably 8 hours of sleep total over 3 days. I'm emotionally and physically exhausted and the last few days have been an absolute roller coaster of different feelings. But right now I feel HOPE.

Thank you to everyone who pointed me in the right direction.

Does anyone on #fedi have any reliable information about the disease FIP in cats?

One of my kittens was preliminarily diagnosed today and I'm trying to find help.

Also, does anyone in the #Portland OR area have access to any #GS441524 or #Remdesivir?
