  1. Being overweight I decided just over a year ago that I would buy a #Gaming chair instead of anything else, found a #MSI chair that was supposed to support up to 150KG (which I am well below) but now it has broken, the right "wing" of the seat has broken completely from the seat.

I did buy a ergo chair now and I am waiting for it, after that I am saving for a #HermanMiller #Aeron chair.. F other cheaper chairs. I can buy a new chair, not a new back!

  7. Currently logging into all of my #WoW toons to see my all time stats.. getting close to half of the list and I see pretty straight forward that I have a tendency to play #Paladin quite a bit.

  8. This #Easter / #Passover I wanted to do something with my time, so I got a few items of the Internet and I am making my very own #MP3 player.
The resurgence of MP3 players, #iPods and such has gotten me to think, how cheap can one make an MP3 player? How functional can I make it? What parts can I use and how well will it work?

    Well, we'll soon see =)
I will be using a ESP32 based board, a round 1.28" non touch display and a microSD card in a slot to do this!

  13. Found this video on #YouTube by chance, not sure if this is AI generated or actual music. Shazam can't seem to find this at least. But if this is AI, dear god how far we've come!

  14. Back in the day when #ADSL was king and having 10Mbps fiber in a data-center was fantastic. I had the option to put a PC tower as a server, with a whole-ass C-net of IPs to boot.
What #Linux #Distro did I choose? Well, I was head over heals at the time with #Gentoo so of course I installed it on there. Was I wrong to do so? Well, was it fun? Hell yes!

  15. Finally moved our (day job) #Asterisk service from an age old computer to a #VM in #Proxmox today. And it just works.

No more stressing if someone has pressed #F1 to continue booting the bare metal computer after a power failure..

  16. Just launched Inviteful — a simple way to send event invitations, track RSVPs, and know exactly who's coming.

  17. This week I revisited my #Nerdy side and installed #Gentoo on one of my beefiest #Laptop

So far it's been a #Hoot and I can feel my 20 year old inside scream with joy!

Haven't felt this alive since ca 2000!

  19. The movie with takes place in the far dystopian future of good old 2019..

  20. I still remember the days when I had a #Gravis #Ultrasound Max soundcard and a #Riva #TNT2 32MB 3D graphics card..
IRQ issues, seating cards in the correct order, trying to get rid of static hiss on the mic/line in..

    Those were the days.

  21. Did you know #Boxee ? It was an #XBMC clone for Mac that I used to run on my old white plastic MacBook back in the day and I loved it, that was when the software was in #alpha and tons of new features were being added every week it seemed.

Why am I talking about it now? Well, when ever I open up my work email via #Outlook online, I get to see this tiny thing, a single outline icon, that SCREAMS at me every time I see it.. The one on the left there. 1/2

  22. I have an idea for creating #JBOD boxes that stack on top of each other so you can fairly quickly add more storage to your #homelab
Each box would have its own small PSU to power it and what else is needed to connect to the main server. However, I am lacking in hardware knowledge.

I was thinking about each box having a SATA/SAS card and the PSU in it, then connecting that via an optic connection, mini SAS or something similar to the main host. What hardware should I be looking for?
