  1. Oh look who's been breaking election rules.

It's always the ones you least suspect, isn't it?

Only allegations at this stage, nothing proven, but what really pisses me off is that even if proven you know that the only thing that's going to happen will be a token fine that will be pocket change for Reform's Russian backers.

There is no meaningful disincentive for any well-funded political party to break election law.

  2. @ReggieHere @ColmDonoghue If the Greens get corrupted then for sure we would need another party on the left.

But what we really don't need is 2 parties on the left. That will just have the #FrogFacedGrifter laughing all the way to Downing Street.

The both-sidesism here is quite a thing to behold.

"Some people say Farage is a racist but Farage says he isn't".

Of course he's a racist. He's Nigel Fucking Farage. He has literally built his entire political career on racism.

Is it too much to ask that journalists just tell things like they are for once?

  4. So apparently it's true that Hitler really did only have one ball.

And you know who else only has one ball? That would be the #FrogFacedGrifter. But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

  5. The BBC has lost a lot of my respect in recent years (mainly for their constant promotion of the #FrogFacedGrifter), but you know what? I think they could get all my respect back again if they respond to this letter with just a simple reply of

"We refer you to the answer given in Arkell vs Pressdram".

"Farage says small business owners who thought Brexit would cut regulation have been betrayed because opposite happened"

Well, just for once, the #FrogFacedGrifter is correct, they were betrayed.

He's going to be so mad when he finds out who it was who promised them that Brexit would cut regulation.

This is not Nigel Farage's "Putin problem". Farage gets very well remunerated for it.

It's the UK's problem if we are daft enough to elect him into power.

  8. @tompearce49 The #FrogFacedGrifter would have a tad more credibility here if he hadn't also been funded with millions of roubles.

  9. You know what an actual journalist (as opposed to a PR mouthpiece for the ruling classes) would have done here?

Looked in detail into what evidence there was that the #FrogFacedGrifter actually did sing Hitler Youth songs when he was at school.

  10. Wait, what? Starmer says Farage isn't racist?

Is there another Farage somewhere? Because if he's talking about the #FrogFacedGrifter, then Farage's racism is so obvious it could be seen from space.

I totally believe the #FrogFacedGrifter when he says he didn't put any of his own money into buying the house.

The idea that he'd spend a single penny of his own money to live in his actual constituency is just too far-fetched.

  12. Now that the corporate media have successfully claimed Rayner's scalp by digging into her taxes, I'm sure they will next turn their attention to a forensic examination of the way the #FrogFacedGrifter avoids tax by getting paid for his media appearances via a limited company rather than to him directly, and will not rest until they have determined whether it is in 100% compliance with IR35 rules, right?

    Right?

    #Rayner #Farage #MediaBias #Misogyny #Classism #UKPolitics

  13. @Opfoss Rayner clearly at the very least was very careless, and I'm not defending her.

One big difference here of course was that once the corporate media got a whiff that Rayner might have fiddled her taxes, they made sure it was front page news until the truth came out.

I confidently predict that the corporate media will not be asking questions about the #FrogFacedGrifter's IR35 status.

So it will of course have to remain speculation.

  14. Given that the #FrogFacedGrifter is so keen to champion rights to incite violence in social media posts, I'm sure he won't mind if I encourage anyone who sees him to throw a milkshake at him.

If you can find one in Freeze Peach flavour, so much the better.

  15. @pvonhellermannn It's so bizarre. Starmer has many faults, but he's not an idiot. Surely he must realise that all this stuff just plays into the hands of the #FrogFacedGrifter

And yet he does it anyway. I really don't understand why.

Best guess is that it was a condition of his sponsors in return for letting him be PM for a term. Sounds a bit tinfoil hat, I know, but I honestly can't think of any other explanation that makes even the slightest bit of sense.

  16. @Geri What courts? I assume that the #FrogFacedGrifter would abolish them (at least as they apply to the government) as one of his first acts if voters were crazy enough to put him in charge.

  17. @nicol Agreed, but I see absolutely no sign of that happening. Starmer seems determined to spend most of his political energy talking about immigration.

Why, I have no idea. He's not a complete moron. He must know that it plays straight into the hands of the #FrogFacedGrifter

  18. CW: UK Politics

The worst thing about it is that by pushing this narrative so strongly, more and more people will believe it, and will end up voting for Reform.

You think things are bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Things will be so much worse with the #FrogFacedGrifter as PM.

And I fear that that's exactly where we're headed. I don't understand why #Starmer either doesn't realise that, or doesn't care.

  20. Is it just me or is the world going mad?

The #IPPR have just released a major report on ill health and its effects on the economy. They acknowledge that things have got much worse since #covid19 came along.

Hell, they even show this graph:

And they make some broadly sensible recommendations, but absolutely none of them is about mitigating the risks of covid.

Recommendations for free vaccines? Nope. Better air quality? Nope. Masking in healthcare settings? Also nope.

  21. "Chickenpox vaccines for young children start across UK"

Excellent news. They should have started 25 years ago, of course, but better late than never.

Most children make an uneventful recovery from chickenpox, but some don't, and if you're really unlucky it can be fatal. This will surely save lives.

And even if you avoid serious complications, chickenpox is never fun. The vaccines will avoid a lot of unnecessary suffering and time off work.

OK, we should have been vaccinating kids against chickenpox for at least the last 25 years, but better late than never.

This will prevent a great deal of misery, and even save a few lives. Most kids recover uneventfully from chickenpox (though it's still not fun), but some have serious complications, and in rare cases, they can be fatal. We typically see about 20 deaths per year in the UK.
