Oh look who's been breaking election rules.
It's always the ones you least suspect, isn't it?
Only allegations at this stage, nothing proven, but what really pisses me off is that even if proven you know that the only thing that's going to happen will be a token fine that will be pocket change for Reform's Russian backers.
There is no meaningful disincentive for any well-funded political party to break election law.

The idea that he'd spend a single penny of his own money to live in his actual constituency is just too far-fetched.

Now that the corporate media have successfully claimed Rayner's scalp by digging into her taxes, I'm sure they will next turn their attention to a forensic examination of the way the #FrogFacedGrifter avoids tax by getting paid for his media appearances via a limited company rather than to him directly, and will not rest until they have determined whether it is in 100% compliance with IR35 rules, right?

@Opfoss Rayner clearly at the very least was very careless, and I'm not defending her.
One big difference here of course was that once the corporate media got a whiff that Rayner might have fiddled her taxes, they made sure it was front page news until the truth came out.
I confidently predict that the corporate media will not be asking questions about the #FrogFacedGrifter's IR35 status.
So it will of course have to remain speculation.

Given that the #FrogFacedGrifter is so keen to champion rights to incite violence in social media posts, I'm sure he won't mind if I encourage anyone who sees him to throw a milkshake at him.

@pvonhellermannn It's so bizarre. Starmer has many faults, but he's not an idiot. Surely he must realise that all this stuff just plays into the hands of the #FrogFacedGrifter
And yet he does it anyway. I really don't understand why.
Best guess is that it was a condition of his sponsors in return for letting him be PM for a term. Sounds a bit tinfoil hat, I know, but I honestly can't think of any other explanation that makes even the slightest bit of sense.

Is it just me or is the world going mad?
The #IPPR have just released a major report on ill health and its effects on the economy. They acknowledge that things have got much worse since #covid19 came along.
Hell, they even show this graph:
And they make some broadly sensible recommendations, but absolutely none of them is about mitigating the risks of covid.
Recommendations for free vaccines? Nope. Better air quality? Nope. Masking in healthcare settings? Also nope.

OK, we should have been vaccinating kids against chickenpox for at least the last 25 years, but better late than never.
This will prevent a great deal of misery, and even save a few lives. Most kids recover uneventfully from chickenpox (though it's still not fun), but some have serious complications, and in rare cases, they can be fatal. We typically see about 20 deaths per year in the UK.
