Wow, what a cool episode:
First there's a nice spotlight on @alpenglow, her soldering workshops and kits, then @todbot talks about some great resources for making audio tech using the #DaisySeed, a microcontroller/platform I had eyed up but shied away from for a long time.
I had to stop here, but am looking forward to checking out the rest of the episode tonight...

After stalking #PatchTheStudioCat's social media for a while, Mini decided last night to jump on the #SynthCat bandwagon as well.
He still needs to work a little bit on his pose and the lighting, but I'd say it's a respectable first attempt.

Now that the #bonk is out of the bag, erm box, I can finally reveal the secret weapon that I specifically acquired for the occasion:
The Casiotone MT-70 is one of only six sine wave based #Casio synths, released in 1982. This makes its sound palette quite limited, but unique.
Its accompaniment section has a few tricks up its sleeve, especially the arpeggio mode, which I will show off in the video in the second post.

Well that was a fun day!

Fun fact:
The main vocal sample in the tune ⬆️ ("Destroy Him") is a cheeky nod to @retrostrange at Radio Free Fedi Fest in July this year.
I caught the sample on one of the Star Man (Super Giant) movies they were airing - I think it was Attack from Space ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_from_Space )

Well, we only really had the idea last Friday 😄
I think it has potential as yet another light-hearted way to promote indie musicians and platforms.
Just hearing the feedback to this page from people who haven't come across either #Faircamp, #JamCoop or #Mirlo shows there is definitely a need to promote these and any other #BandcampAlternatives and #SpotifyAlternatives!
Plus plainly we need to persistently plug #RadioFreeFedi, a platform with peerless promotion potential!
