@ftmf The album I listened to the most in the last month has been @socool - To the Nines Remixed.
I am slightly biased as I contributed one track myself, but I absolutely adore all the remixes on this...
Check it out at

hey happy #fairtrademusicfriday & #bandcampFriday !
no new music because i still need time to recover full arm mobility, BUT just got a funny idea: a 2-sec "album" for $1, so this way bandcamp allows the "get full discography" button to get download links for ALL albums (today even including my comedic past stuff) in a single page. i wish bandcamp allowed this without a paid release so i used minimun price.
BUT remember that time to listen is the most valuable you can give regardless!
almost a month ago, "spoken in the soft bokeh of whispers" was released for those in need of a soothing, low-resolution space of yearning. thank you to all who made it a part of your lives already
if you've found yourself longing and in wander, please give it a listen on this bandcamp friday 💗

Happy #BandcampFriday and #FairTradeMusicFriday, and I've actually got new music out!! :MOULE_Dance:
"Aubin Grove" is a #chillwave #vaporwave track about the titular Perth train station with lots of washed out, relaxing reverbs. It can be listened to on https://moule.bandcamp.com/track/aubin-grove!
I also have a Faircamp site (https://music.moule.world), but due to an eventual big migration to Faircamp 2.0, I've put off uploading Aubin Grove there and currently prioritise my #Bandcamp page https://moule.bandcamp.com.
@ftmf Karmen Ponikvar is not on fediverse (yet), but this album (released few weeks ago) is an exquisite excursion into a sensually original sonic world where crickets and silence play an important of not primary role.
> The cochlea is already entrained to their particular tonal range; the auditory cortex, slower, is just catching up with the cricket gap and beginning to render it as a gap rather than as silence.

It's #FairtradeMusicFriday! Here's a new submission thread for October.
As always, submit your own release or someone else's, it can be by #FediMusicians or not, hosted on #Bandcamp, #Faircamp, #JamCoop, #Mirlo or #SelfHosted, as long as it is by an #IndieArtist - it doesn't even need to be new.
Just make a direct public comment (with a link & description) to this post and it will appear at https://isitfairtrademusicfri.day automagically!
Buying or boosting will make an artist's day 💙
Just added another weird THING to @mirlo for the latest @ftmf. An old album from 2022. May contain my own trebly vocals, plus samples of Morrissey and Louis Armstrong and yes I know that's a weird combo.

Would anybody be willing to share recommendations for indie/niche creative or artistic works?
I particularly enjoy Sci-Fi themes and I'm looking for anything from written fiction to music to illustrations. Sprawling interactive pieces or tiny print-only zines.
Whatever works as long as it DOES NOT depend on a giant corporate platform. Also ZERO AI generated content please. Indie, open web stuff only. (Bonus points if it involves some experimental web or network protocol!)
(For context I am experiencing a wave of cynicism about the state of the creative web right now and I need some inspiration to defeat it.)
Please boost for visibility!

Again a bit late with the Bandcamp friday purchases yesterday but I managed to pick up a few albums/tracks from synthwave artists:
Phaserland ( @ab59c8a9-4d1d-48d9-ae2d-e46db5e1f8db )
and Worship ( @183fdf02-de12-4e41-ab59-26c15ea2bc49 )
Also some new music discovered for the next one.
Been a long manic day and I've already been spending a fair bit regularly on bits and pieces for the radio show, so I wasn't able to get as involved in #FairtrademusicFriday or #bandcampFriday as I perhaps should have done... but I can recommend the amazing new EP from Loula Yorke, my favourite of all the British hardware synth scientists. This and her recent 'aym mixtape' make me think she's on the cusp of something very exciting.
CommsBreakdown released a new album last week! Really good upbeat dancy fun music :)
My favourite is the track 'Freezer Bath' which Steve said was inspired by the news story of a bank of freezers in Sheffield, UK, that were playing a perfect C sharp major ambient chord. Steve recreated the chord in Logic and built this IDM track around the chilled (literally) vibe.

Great day to support your favorite artists, and find new ones!
@ftmf My recent release 'Big Pictures' is on my Faircamp[1], it's basically what I've done in the last few months. The next LP will appear eventually.
Bandcamp release of the month is 'Destroying a Living' by Powtes[2], acoustic modern folk around a theme of the drainage of the fens in the 17th century, via Chile and the West End of Newcastle.

It is of course also available on #mirlo, #jamcoop and #subvert, as well as on #fairplayer and #soundcloud.
There is also an accompanying video:

Enjoy and please do take the opportunity to buy music from independent musicians today.
Hugs, Sammi

Fair Trade Music Friday – September 2026 via @ftmf
🚨 #FTMF Exclusive World Premiere! 🚨
“So Much“ by @Traiken and @sknob!!!
🎸🤘
From the Liner Notes:
“I stumbled on a poem by Traiken on Mastodon which really spoke to me, and before I knew it, I was writing a melody to it. I sent a rough arrangement to Traiken hoping he wouldn’t be offended. Thankfully, he was thrilled, went on to gloriously flesh out the arrangement in his inimitable style, and this is the result.
