As I've been falling behind on my goal to reach 15.000 #scrobbles this year, I've improved my #scrobble stats script with another "dynamic target" column next to the existing one for the "static target", showing me how much I need to scrobble per period in order to reach the goal for the year. While I was at it, I also added a "compared to: recently" section in the bottom, comparing current numbers to recent similar periods (e.g. this week vs last week).

@haitchfive Really loved that film and even more so love the Engadin (the valley where Sils is located)... a very fascinating region, both nature and culture/history! The mountains there are also a category larger than in my photo (which was near Liechtenstein). Still would love to witness the famous "Maloja snake" myself, though. There's a lovely silent film from 1924 which documents this unique phenomenon (already shared it previously a few times):

However, the open-source community clearly prefers ListenBrainz. For example, GoToSocial has integrated ListenBrainz. Feeling like wasting some time tonight/tomorrow and I just looked at the Maloja docs -- #Maloja is a self-hosted substitute for #lastFM -- and saw that you can customize pretty much any of the art:
"If you have activated admin mode in your web interface, you can upload custom images for artists or tracks by simply dragging them onto the existing image on the artist or track page. You can also manage custom images directly in the file system - consult images.info in the /var/lib/maloja/images folder."
I have like five or six mini-projects going on, but it looks like I'm adding another one to the list!

Installed #Maloja on my VPS as a self-hosted option for scrobbling my music listening. (So a substitute for Last.Fm)
Only a day or two in but:
* installation was super easy, no surprises (even with docker, which I will never really understand, seriously)
* import from #LastFM was smooth, no issues
The only downside is that last.fm had some social aspects that were fun in their heyday, but those have been ignored by most users for a while. It's still nice sometimes to browse other profiles, compare tastes, etc.
Is that why I'm having a hard time deleting my account, even though I functionally don't need it anymore?
