I was not familiar with either #LudwigSenfl or #SingerPur but I LOVE this recording. This song in particular is a lot of fun and must be a blast to sing.

I LOVE IT.
SO MUCH.
#theEmbrace, the #MLK / #CorrettaScottKing statue in #boston
→ Go see it in person. Seeing it in photographs or video does not do it justice.

@classicalmusic There's also this performance by #IFagiolini which makes the composer's intent very obvious and is sort of fun to watch (once), but I find the "choreography" a bit too distracting.

I seem to have a thing for #boardwalks and #bogs. Oh and I played #hooky from work this afternoon for a very short #hike (really, nobody gets anything done the afternoon of #ThanksgivingEve) #WilsonMountain #DedhamMa

Wow.
Dunno why, but this interview with Joyce DiDonato had me in tears about her work bringing classical music to young and more diverse communities.
This is what music should be. Engaging. Human.
Just amazing.

Really enjoying using https://alertca.live to be able to be vicariously in California since I don't live there right now... 💔
I particularly enjoyed this #rainbow just now over #highway101 in #sanRafael #marin #alertCA #webcam #screenshot https://alertca.live/cam-console/2667

Came across this, from a poem by W. H. Auden (from a book @ZaneSelvans recommended that I just got out of the library)
I love this so much:
From Letter to Elizabeth Mayer: (January 1, 1940) [published in The Atlantic 1941]
How hard it is to set aside
Terror, concupiscence and pride,
Learn who and where and how we are,
The children of a modest star,
Frail, backward, clinging to the granite
Skirts of a sensible old planet,
Our placid and suburban nurse
In Sitter’s swelling universe,
How hard to stretch imagination
To live according to our station.W. H. Auden

@nathanlovestrees I love that quote. ❤️ Really resonates with me.
(Man, I really need to read Walden. Stupid that I haven't yet. I also lived near his stomping grounds for decades.) (My ex and I used to stop by #waldenPond to go swimming after work.)

#claimToFame I saw #TheyMightBeGiants way before they were famous, at #nightStage in #cambridgeMA
if I recall they were opening for someone, I don't remember who... #ILikeToWatch

The American remake of The Bureau is out.
But honestly, I'm not sure I'm going to watch it. The original French series was just TOO good.
(and I don't have the services it's on, anyway)

got an email to sign up for a clinic and... you have to scan a QR code to get to the sign-up form.
WTAF
Just give me a link
And what about those people who read their email on their phone? THAT'S going to be fun.
(I'm fully expecting within a day they will send out another email with "whoops, here's a link...")

This song just popped into my head. So, so, so good. Little by little by little by little.
Dang, Sharon, we miss you.

@bhalpin Yeah, Ain't No Chimneys in the Projects is probably the best track.
And the LDB is definitely more palatable than *most* versions... but I still... can't... 😅

I'm sure everybody's all christmas-music-out'd by now, but another recent discovery for me is this one.
Pretty darn good. Although even Sharon, RIP, can't rescue Little Drummer Boy. And the Hannukah song seems awkward... But other than that... 💯
