Day umpty-something of the supposed 'backlash' against Wales' 20mph speed limit *in selected areas*.

The media seem to have a good divide-and-rule line with this one, the 'angry about anything' brigade turning out in droves.

It's almost as though we don't have better and very numerous things to spend our energy being angry about.

Desert kites are much in the press these days. I only heard about them last night (well, they were only discovered by the west in the 1920s!)

Already, I have some pretty serious questions to ask about their general interpretation as 'killing traps'.

Such as: if they were for killing, why do many of them show unambiguous remains of cellular enclosures within? I mean, that would make them stock control systems, not hunting traps.
