  3. BBC News leaning into the ‘Starmer has to go’ narrative, while there is apparently ‘no pressure’ for Kemi Badenoch to resign despite her party’s dismal performance, putting the Tories in fourth(!) place. 🤔 #UKElection

  5. #NigelFarage and #Reform are having a great week. They have sat on the sidelines complaining for a long time and it's been very effective. They are no longer on the sidelines. They are starting to have to actually govern, and they can't do that, none of the right wing populists can. They are incompetent, deeply embarrassingly know nothing all talk incompetents.

  9. This is depressing.

UK election results show a massive increase for trumpian Reform, but labour still has a majority, not good enough to build government, so they have to work with another party, and I'm sure it's not the greens.

  11. UK election results are both promising and shocking.

Labour seems to be the the losers almost everywhere.

Greens, liberal democrats and trumpian reform are the winners.

I don't know the final results but it's not good.
    Just some random results

  18. Fascinating #UKelection analysis from the #ElectoralReform Society:

Even with so much tactical voting (where voters don't pick their true preference, and instead are guessing what other voters are going to do based on imperfect polling and trying to game the system in a dismal electoral Prisoner's Dilemma) we still see that most MPs were elected with a minority of the vote. Most voters voted for candidates that did not win.

The #FirstPastThePost system needs to go. #ProportionalRepresentation

  22. “Amazing how right wing Labourtives are ignoring Labour's lower vote and vote share in #UKElection than in the previous two elections. Speaks volumes about the capacity of the right wing Labourtives to be professional weirdos with no grasp of context in politics. Corbyn got more votes than Starmer - twice.
First Past the Post gives power out of proportion to the people’s will. England’s childish voting system fails people every time.”
