I’m an amateur developer working on a fairly straightforward, personal web app project utilizing #Python via #FastAPI, #SQLModel, and #SQLite and could use a tutor to get over a few humps. I'm learning #FastAPI and #SQLModel by creating an API while porting an existing PHP/Postgres web app over to Python/SQLite. Really liking it so far. Is it possible to use a Relationship() in a SQLModel that spans several foreign key relationships across classes? For example, given the ER diagram below, could I define a relationship in the Organization and Event classes that would allow me to directly access all the events that are associated with a given organization? #Python

I’ve been reading up on #FastAPI and #SQLModel in advance of starting a new project, and now I’m wondering what’s the best #Python library for creating a CLI client to my forthcoming API? What’s the current hotness? Is it just the standard requests library, or is there a different framework I should check out?

Kudos to @tiangolo for creating outstanding documentation. I spent some time last weekend learning about #FastAPI and #SQLModel and was delighted by the quality and accessibility of the tutorials on the project websites. The SQLModel tutorial not only introduces the product, but succeeds as a basic primer on relational databases and how/why you would use them. Great stuff, Sebastián!

In a town called #Horden down a street called Eden Street, parked on the road as if they were ordinary vehicles, was military hardware. @brianb #Quarto is a successor to #RMarkdown. Very cool publishing system that can output HTML, PDF, etc.

I've built most of it with #Python and #ReportLab, but ran into a few problems and wondered if Quarto would be an option.

I'm building a low-traffic web app with #PHP, #Caddy2, and #SQLite. The database will be read-only for the web users. I can't decide whether I should put Caddy2 and PHP in the same #Docker container or use two separate containers. Is this a situation where convenience and practicality collides with "best practice"? What does the crowd think?
