  1. Lost and found - I can't be the only one who returns from taking photographs dismissing many of them into a folder you rarely look in? Here's two I found where I think the initial dismissal was a little harsh and seeing them with fresh eyes decided to post them. These were taken at Seaham County Durham #photography #landscape #seascape #sunrise #ocean #seaham

  2. I’m an amateur developer working on a fairly straightforward, personal web app project utilizing via , , and and could use a tutor to get over a few humps. I’m happy to pay a reasonable rate for a few hours of someone’s time if they have experience with those tools. Hit me up if you’re interested.

  3. I'm learning and by creating an API while porting an existing PHP/Postgres web app over to Python/SQLite. Really liking it so far. Is it possible to use a Relationship() in a SQLModel that spans several foreign key relationships across classes? For example, given the ER diagram below, could I define a relationship in the Organization and Event classes that would allow me to directly access all the events that are associated with a given organization?

  4. I’ve been reading up on and in advance of starting a new project, and now I’m wondering what’s the best library for creating a CLI client to my forthcoming API? What’s the current hotness? Is it just the standard requests library, or is there a different framework I should check out?

  5. Kudos to @tiangolo for creating outstanding documentation. I spent some time last weekend learning about and and was delighted by the quality and accessibility of the tutorials on the project websites. The SQLModel tutorial not only introduces the product, but succeeds as a basic primer on relational databases and how/why you would use them. Great stuff, Sebastián!

  6. "Past, Present, Future". This was taken in Seaham (UK). What I thought was going to be a dull sunrise ended up surprising me and the couple standing between that and the statue of a soldier, said to me anyway - past (statue), present (the couple) and the future being that they are looking off into the sunrise. #photography #landscape #seascape #sunrise #ocean #seaham

  8. I love living in the #northeast of #England and exploring both the cities and small towns always seems to produce the unexpected. In a town called #Horden down a street called Eden Street, parked on the road as if they were ordinary vehicles, was military hardware. It transpires that there is a local business that refurbish's ex-military vehicles for people to buy. #photography #BlackAndWhite #streetphotography #monochrome

  9. Songwriters for churches,

Consider recording a stripped back congregational version. Think t4g piano and voices.

We appreciate the effort it goes to do the amazing instrumentation.

But sometimes it's hard to imagine what it would sound like at a church which has less set up

  10. Read the Bible like a Biblical Theologian:

    1. Take original readers seriously
    2. Follow the history (it's not a book of quotes)
    3. The author and genre play a role
    4. The Bible interprets the Bible
    5. Christ is the climax
    6. Biblical Theology must drive to Systematic Theology

  11. How to build inter-church fellowship (for pastors)

    • Keep in touch with friends
    • Pulpit swap with local pastors
    • Pray for other churches weekly
    • Pray with other pastors (in person, phone zoom)
    • Go to local pastor groups (even when you seem busy)

    What else?

  12. 5 Steps to Planning Your 2023 Devotions

    • Find a consistent time
    • Divide your time between reading, meditation and prayer (e.g. 15mins = 5 mins for each)
    • Plan for January only. Commit to every one of 31 days.
    • Do it! Persevere even when it's tough.
    • Adapt in February

  13. @brianb is a successor to . Very cool publishing system that can output HTML, PDF, etc.

I've built most of it with and , but ran into a few problems and wondered if Quarto would be an option.

  14. I'm building a low-traffic web app with , , and . The database will be read-only for the web users. I can't decide whether I should put Caddy2 and PHP in the same container or use two separate containers. Is this a situation where convenience and practicality collides with "best practice"? What does the crowd think?
