    It’s brave of you to say this, to make the decision & share it: “I'm super sad to say this, but its time to go.” 😐

    Atuin is pretty awesome for history management. Since I use nushell , it has its own history. So I made a hook in my nushell config so that atuin and nushell both have the same history and so I can manage history using atuin in one place😁

    Whoever's using atuin and nushell can benefit from this small hook in the config.

    My config:
    github.com/vivekanandan-ks/ksv

    @atuin
    @nushell

    It's like having rating value range for movie as 0 to 1 instead of 0 to 100. It's stupid to have a 0 or 1 rating coz ratings when increased people will have better overview about the collective decision. The same for AI and everything, people should mention clear categories of ratings instead of calling it just good or bad.

  13. RE: hachyderm.io/@mitchellh/116580

    Hearing the feelings in this rant, which does touch a nerve, I can’t help think about how different the developer community reaction to the LLM push might be if the focus were on quality instead of efficiency.

  15. RE: hachyderm.io/@mitchellh/116580

    This, and more, brings me such intense cognitive dissonance as I exist in the computing field.

    Corp lawyers terrified of AGPL3 are totally fine with the stochastic plagiarism machine? LLMs increase velocity and are so powerful but large companies seem to keep reducing quality of their deliveries?
    C-level folks obsessing about Sinek’s golden circle - “they don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it” suddenly now marketing their budget crises as “AI is so good we can fire 30% of our employees and nobody cares what we produce”
