England win by six wickets with 7.5 overs to spare. Just like two days ago this was never a contest. Even when Sri Lanka were 84-1 halfway through their innings it didn't look like they were on the way to a total that could really challenge England, and the second half of the Sri Lankan innings was shocking. England never looked other than comfortable at any stage of the chase.

Cox goes, caught by Udara off Ratnayake for 12 (6.England 136-4 from 11 overs, need a mere 10 more runs to finish things. Ratnayake has 1-25 from two overs.

Hasaranga gets 50 against his name - unfortunately for him and Sri Lanka that is with the ball in his hand - 3.3-0-50-1.
England need 16 more to win and have 9.3 overs at their disposal.

Tharinda Ratnayake, who like Ben Kellaway (Glamorgan) and Jemma Barsby (Australia Women) can bowl both off spin and left arm orthodox spin is now bowling for Sri Lanka.

Jordan Cox joins Tom Banton at the crease. I make that three recognized keepers in the England top five - Buttler who actually has the job, Banton and Cox.

Three sixes in four balls for Brook, but the sequence ends with a catch to Malinga. Brook goes for 23 (8) and England are 79-3. Hasaranga has the rather odd looking figures of 2-0-29-1.

Buttler goes for 30, skying a catch to Mishara off Chameera to make it 55-2 in the sixth over. England need 91 more to win, which is not difficult, but they do now have two new batters together at the crease. Banton in at number four.

Breakthrough for Sri Lanka as Donald goes caught by Hasaranga off Malinga for 21 to make it 51-1 in the fifth over. England still in control right now, needing only 95 more to win.

Baker picking up where he left off two days ago - just three runs from his first over.

England have won the toss and opted to bowl first. That means that Aneurin Donald will have to wait a bit longer before he gets to bat in front of a Welsh crowd in an international match. Can Sri Lanka offer more than they did a couple of days ago?

It clearly wasn't impossible to bowl on tonight's pitch - Sonny Baker took 3-12 from his four overs, a magnificent effort in any T20, so how did Sri Lanka's bowling unit look such utter cannon fodder and end up leaking over 250 from 20 overs?

England win a T20I by 119 runs - England 254-4, Sri Lanka 135. Harry Brook scored a frankly ridiculous 114 from 49 balls, and Sri Lanka only got to 135 courtesy of numbers 10 and 11 connecting with a few lusty blows in the dying embers of the match.

Buttler and Brook in the process of handing the Sri Lankan bowlers an absolute hiding - England are already past the hundred mark in the eighth over of their innings.
