  1. Never mind the clothes in Zara's new low price retail offer, I'm intrigued at them naming it 'Lefties'...

is this a political move (normalising the term leftie to rob it of the negative connotations in the media)?

Or, is it a cynical move to encourage young people on the left, that multinational corporation Zara really is on their side?

(I'll leave the issue of automation - store robots - for another time)

  2. Sabah is rich in resources, but politicians jail its wealth, using patronage to ensure dependency and easy bribes. The "Sabahan Malas" stereotype and using religion to gaslight are tactics to hide this reality. Focus on corrupt leaders and demand a fair system.

  3. In the past, fast fashion house #Zara executive Vanessa Perilman has said: "Maybe if your people were educated then they wouldn’t blow up the hospitals and schools that Israel helped to pay for in #Gaza. Israelis don’t teach children to hate nor throw stones at soldiers as your people do.”

Their new ad campaign features mannequins with missing limbs surrounded by rubble, and a crate with a mock up of an Islamic death wrapping.
