I'm more of a #WhitePoppy person than a red one for #RemembranceSunday. War is bad for everyone, military and civilian, on all sides. I'll just put here this university WW1 memorial for four German students: "Harvard has not forgotten her sons who gave their lives for their country under a different flag."

On a farm just outside of Ludlow in Shropshire, they have 2 fields of white poppies.

CW: Rememberance day
The Red Poppy only remembers the British dead of war, not the Colonial and Dominion troops who fought along side the British Forces. It does not remember the dead of those Britain fought. Nor does it remember the civilian victims of war. This is why I wear a white poppy.
