Last night, I woke up screaming from a nightmare. This morning, my spouse informed me that we are at #war with #Iran. Coincidence, as humans do horrible things to each other every day. (And I've been taking medication to reduce my nightmares that stem from this.)

In any case, I normally avoid news and social media on Saturdays, but I make exceptions for major events like this.

Reminder that I am a #pacifist opposed to the intentional killing of anyone, for any reason.

I'm a #pacifist, but have no problem with people damaging property for a good cause. Maybe I'm a hypocrite for not doing so myself, but as a #Black transmasculine person, I feel highly vulnerable and don't expect I'd survive an encounter with the police, or jail without being raped or worse.

Those who can take that risk, I urge you to do so. General strike, whatever it takes. Rallies have their place, but I feel we need more than that at this point to turn things around.

As I have stated often, I am a #pacifist opposed to all firearms and all deliberate killing of others, police and military included. I don't believe in "war crimes" because to me, war itself is a crime.

All the bigotry and hatred spewed by #Trump last year, including on Christmas Day, upset me. But it also made me decide to try harder to embody and project peace and kindness, rather than reacting with more hatred. I want an end to the violence, and that starts with me.

#SanaeTakaichi also favors revising Japan's #pacifist postwar constitution & suggested this year that Japan could form a "quasi-security alliance" with #Taiwan, the democratically governed island claimed by #China.
