Running around doing more #waymarking today, this time a bit closer to home. On days like this, when I have no #budget and I'm tempted to feel deprived, it's important for me to get out, look around my new digs, and get to know them better. I know that playing the high-tech equivalent of a photo scavenger hunt is pretty frivolous in the grand scheme of things, but it brings me small joys on difficult days. And it's a hobby that, if you already have a phone and Internet access, is essentially free. #NoSpend

Got up. Made myself a delicious hot beverage and ate a little cottage cheese. Kissed hubby (he's cute). Petted kittehs (they're cute too, but more fuzzy, so not as fun to kiss). Did some household chores. Picked up the mail. Did a little local #waymarking. Went to the #library and picked up a few books that caught my interest. Did some reading. Probably more social media than is good for me, but at least it's the fedi. Worked on my ongoing crochet project. We should eat soon; I have ingredients and plans to make aloo gobi tonight.

The old geocachers say Waymarking was spun off as locationless caches were removed. The parallels would be: creating a category is like setting a locationless cache, and adding a location is like claiming a find on it. Vilists to locations are just little extras. Well, I got myself what should be a coveted find: National Natural Landmarks. There's only a few hundred of these.

Decided to try the Waymarking site again. I know a special US Benchmark, so here I am adding to the database:
https://waymarking.com/waymarks/wm19C80_Mount_Lassic_LU2195_Humboldt_County_CAIt still looks like a mock-up of what is possible using some forum code. I should get back to writing, but I'll add at least as many as the geocaches I've set. That's a goal, but it's very obtainable. I haven't set many.
