An affected family that came out to speak in support of the APP were Sara Lacy who spoke about the death at the hands of tribal police of her husband Cecil Lacy Jr. Sara also spoke about her recent legislative work to reopen old police killing cases and how this enabled her to mount a successful wrongful death lawsuit.

Reporting live this evening from #Snohomish #balloon #glow, about an hour until dusk when the main event starts. This free event is packed with the ankle biters and I’m surreptitiously swalling wine from a paper cup. It seems pretty fun so far although honestly until they fire up the balloons it’s just a case of not catching whooping cough. #seattle #pnw

I rode the Centennial Trail solo yesterday, Snohomish to Arlington and back. Chocolate shake at the Silver Scoop in Arlington. I picked up a loaf of bread at the Snohomish Bakery. Gorgeous sunny day. This was a warm up ride for tomorrow's Skagit Spring Classic, which will be lit!

Ooo postcard at Oma's that it #Snohomish County goes with their urban growth/upzoning plan her complex would be just on the right side of a street to be designated as a "light rail community" for the eventual Everett extension. I know there's a lot of NIMBY energy around here but that has to be good for property values as a potential future commuter home. Of course it's about two decades away...
