  1. Another Infrastructure (AI): Art, environment, data centres and us

North Clondalkin Library, Saturday, August 29 at 10:00 AM GMT+1

On August 29th, 2026, a programme of talks, workshops, artworks and food will take place at North Clondalkin Library, Rowlagh, in a one-day event 'Another Infrastructure (AI)'. The artist ensemble Drop Table have been exploring the environmental and social impact of data centres and data infrastructure in the area since 2025 as part of a community-engaged project. Seven artists are considering alternative forms of infrastructure, such as small-scale data servers, care infrastructures, small-scale money systems, LGBT+ built online tools, and local food systems as topics to counter large-scale data infrastructure. The day of events is free to attend and will include free food, along with different activities aimed at adults and teenagers interested in data, community and care.
