And lets be honest:
Anyone like me who takes #Diving serious would not mind having to pay like €50-100+ for a rugged case that'll do 50m seawater if I ever wanted to abuse a smartphone as diving computer.

@SebastienK if you have to deal with State-Sponsored attackers that can leverage #TEMPEST-based #Exploits than you shouldn't use said devices to begin with but instead use a more rugged system.

There also have #ToolfreeSwappableBatteries for good reasons: #Safety!

And just like #Apple normalized non-#ToolfreeSwappableBatteries, non-#UpgradeableRAM and non-#ReplaceableSSD's as middle fingers against #consumers, they #AntiRepair efforts and #Enshittification gets normalized and thus more widespread.

@mcc Because of this I hope the @EU_Commission will mandate #removeableSSDs, #ToolfreeSwappableBatteries and #UnlockableBootloaders for all devices!

Otherwise this is jist 100% avoidable #eWaste that is #unsustainable given that a metric ton of salt had to be filtered just to get the #Lithium for a single #laptop #battery.
