It is widely believed that adulthood begins at age 25 because that's when we are neurologically fully developed.
But isn't it odd that everyone knows under 25s are children,
yet nobody anywhere has stopped them from working?
I mean, it's child labor. That's patently wrong.

by far the biggest change in the brain happens during puberty, which is, oddly enough, totally logical. Nature gives you an adult brain along with your adult body.
Nature put them in adult bodies with adult hormones so of course they are attractive and attracted to other adults, but they hear only "You're a CHILD!" "You're too stupid!" "They'll groom you, because your brain is deficient!"
It's a recipe for disaster.
It's appalling that people just throw around vague notions like "Well, I think 18 is pretty young" and think that a law should be based on that.
To justify imprisonment you need solid evidence that someone is actually harmed by that type of "crime" (in this case it's lacking)
The overpopulation crisis began before I was born. There's too much carbon dioxide because too many people burned too much coal and cut down too many forests.
Literally every problem we have was directly caused or greatly exacerbated by overpopulation.
We want to blame youth for being bad, or blame their hormones or brains. We hate the idea that we put them in a bad situation causing them to suffer and so they're lashing out.
So we lie to ourselves.
Powerfully Disempowering
We've just spent 20 or 30 years telling our sons and daughters that they are *prey*.
Prey is by definition weak.
Prey is a helpless victim.
We tell them that they will be *groomed*, because their tiny brains are too feeble.
It's the wrong message.
Young adults aged 14-18 are perfectly capable of deciding for themselves who they want to go out with. I advocate affording them basic human respect and bodily autonomy. This is not a radical idea.
This Man Is 16 Years Old
He can:
drive a car
quit school
work full time
get married
have children
join the British Army
be tried as an adult
be put in adult prison
buy a gun
but:
It's illegal for him to make love to smby over 18
Bc that's the really dangerous thing
Teenagers are Young Adults
Denying this basic scientific fact causes consternation and dismay among the deluded.
