So yesterday, I get an email from Cobb County Senior Services, trying to get me all excited about Senior Day at the North Georgia Fair. There will be bingo! the flyer says.
WTF makes anybody think we want to play bingo? Or, for that matter, be segregated out from the larger community in this--or any--way?
I call bullshit.

I know a lot of 70 year olds that have much more worldly knowledge and open-mindedness than a lot of 20 and 30 year olds, who tend to be obsessed with ig and selfies. So maybe you should drop the ageism.

Not to be #ageist - but this is a real Q - the track record of the current decision-makers (elderly) when it comes to addressing the main problems afflicting society (e.g. #inequality #climatechange #socialmedia #AI #crypto etc. ) is so poor that maybe stepping away and letting the #young take a crack at them is not such a bad idea. #democracy #justice #humanrights

I really wonder why i still call myself an #Anarchist, after recent experiences here in Switzerland.
I knew that European "anarchists" are #Ageist. But the pandemic has shown that they are also extremely #Ableist. There are exceptions, but on the whole they were some of the worst offenders when it came to not masking, planning non-inclusive events etc etc.
The worst!
Thankfully there are some beautiful examples in the so-called "US". I wish it wasn't such an unlivable country otherwise.

Forth of X, I hope I don't come off as #ageist or #ableist. I'm not claiming that being able to walk up or down stairs is a prerequisite for being president. I *am* saying that he's demonstrably slowing down physically as we all do eventually; as I have. It can easily be claimed that his physical decline has been accompanied by a mental decline (and I'd argue that is also demonstrably true to a point).

I want y'all to understand that this is an example of #ageist and #infantilizing #rhetoric from this #policeChief. #nypd chief is patronising and infantilising (demonstrating how youth are an oppressed class in and of themselves whosw actions are belittled and dismissed) when he says these aren't righteous protestors taking actions of #solidarity while a literal #genocide happens but just entitled students with no real interest or political message. Makes my blood boil.

the overlaps to gender gap in a binary sense are starting to be addressed, I would like (1) a differentiation in such studies and politics etc for queer, bipoc folks and freelancing and/or precarious lifestyles. and all other multiple discrimination and intersectionslities. for starters. (2) a sincere discussion on ageism in feminist/left/queer settings, cultures and subcultures. much overdue, and for that we don't need the State not official studies.
start it. tell your friends. tell your fields. bring your mum.

I'm trying not to feel guilty about spending $50 on art supplies. The rent and all bills are paid. I'm looking for a job in this #ableist #sexist #misogynistic #racist #ageist society but having no luck.
#anxiety is trying to tell me I'll need that money. I need to stay alive! If art and the feedback I'm getting keep the demons caged another 24 hours then that makes my art supplies a medical expense!
