Finally got the Soylent Meal Replacement Powder in and had a cup.

I like everything on the package, but unlike the complete protein there is a distinct wood pulp flavor to it. Like that aroma of warm cardboard when you catch the smell of the inside of a box.

Maybe it's my toung needing to get used to it.

While I’m the last person to ride any diet hype train nonsense, I decided to try Soylent as it’s $3.50 a bottle for a meal. About half the cost of a smoothie I make myself.

I’ve found following a colitis flare like I just experienced eliminating at least one meal of solid food a day REALLY helps my stomach recover.

I am surprised and impressed. The meal replacement drinks are universally pretty ok to good tasting. I am full for 4 to 6 hours afterward with no urge to snack. And my stomach is rebounding quickly. I might stick with this for a couple more months just because I am enjoying the convenience too.

im aldi gibt es ja jetzt diese #Saturo trinkmalzeiten. gleiche idee wie #soylent. die in vanille und banane fand ich eher unappetitlich (waren aber auch die ersten die ich probiert hab, gewöhnungseffekt?) schoko und erdbeer sind okay-ish. macht gut satt.

mir gefällt die soylent-idee ja sehr, aber es ist immernoch viel zu teuer. 6 saturos (je .33·l, 330 kcal, .17·RDA) kosten nach preisreduktion immernoch 12·€. drittelt den preis (und verkauft es in litern), dann haben wir nen game changer.
