I have a hard time keeping myself fed. #AuDHD means grocery shopping, cooking, nutrition, all that stuff, is just about the last thing I want to spend mental effort on. So, over the past few years I grew increasingly dependent upon regular subscription shipments of #Soylent meal replacement shakes.
The past few months I’ve seen my subscription shipments missing more and more items that are “out of stock.” The food delivery I’m expecting this Friday was so overwhelmingly out of stock (five out of seven boxes) that I finally searched for more information.

My #soylent subscription didn't arrive last month. I went to see why and it's because they're sold out. I can swap another product, but they're sold out of almost everything. Seems the company got sold off to some big corp and have enshittified not just their website, but their entire production chain. Might be the end for the company. I'm open to suggestions for competing products.

Not only will it keep the chain cleaner, but if you have a bad accident and are stuck on the trail for a while waiting rescue, you can suck on the chain and
get all your regular nutrients to keep you alive. Better than carry a bottle of soylent green.Also a gravy chain makes a good convenient quick trail snack.

Ever since they got bought out by a party drink company, #soylent doesn't seem very interested in selling soylent powder. So I decided to try #huel. It's way too sweet (vanilla flavor; there is an unsweetened/unflavored option) with a lingering aftertaste. It's also disgustingly chunky. No amount of shaking gets rid of lumps. I can try a food processor, but that's more cleanup than I'd want long term.
Recommendations welcome if you know a good brand. -

#SoylentFinally got the Soylent Meal Replacement Powder in and had a cup.
I like everything on the package, but unlike the complete protein there is a distinct wood pulp flavor to it. Like that aroma of warm cardboard when you catch the smell of the inside of a box.
Maybe it's my toung needing to get used to it.

Occasionally will get some of the Meal Replacement stuff and use it for breakfast for a few days.
Just can't find anything aside from this stuff, whey or soy based, that includes extra nutrients along with the protein.

Doing a little money saving experiment by putting #Soylent into my diet. For now I’m trying consuming just Soylent, so far I feel pretty damn good on day 2!

I feel simultaneously hungry and full. The smell of food makes me want to eat, and I do feel my stomach grumbling, but the internal sense of hunger is gone. I feel quite satisfied by the drink itself (in the absence of other stimuli).
The taste is pleasant enough, although the after taste/chalkiness really requires a small stick of gum to clean stuff out between "doses."
