  1. I really, really like the HBO TV show "Somebody Somewhere".

    Some drama. Bits of comedy.
People going through living. And it feels real in a good way. Wish it had more seasons but I'll take what they've made.

  2. Jeff Hillier won an Emmy for best supporting actor in a comedy series, and yea.. 100% deserved. #SomebodySomewhere

  3. Jeff Hiller won an Emmy as best supporting actor for Somebody Somewhere, which is a brilliant show. And clearly someone didn't think he had a chance and couldn't be bothered finding his headshot for the show.

Go watch the show if you haven't seen it yet, it's wonderful.

  4. Have been enjoying "Somebody Somewhere" the last few weeks. What a fantastic show about friendship. Sorry there are only 3 short seasons. Sorry to see it go.

  5. Just started watching Somebody Somewhere today after seeing a random clip on YouTube Shorts. Never seen or heard anything about it until this point, but I'm very glad that clip came up on my feed, because I'm 3 episoes in and madly in love with this show.

It's beautiful, sad, sweet, adorable, and just... perfect. Watch it. Idk you but I like to think you'll enjoy it.

  7. Feeling a certain degree of dread in your daily life? @Variety's Michael Schneider recommends the TV comedies that are low stress, funny, with emotional heft, from "Shrinking" to "Somebody Somewhere."

“The goal is never to be like, ‘See if we can make him cry!’” said star and executive producer Bridget Everett of the latter. “It’s more like, let’s see if it resonates. We just wanted the show to feel like a slice of life. It’s that ‘Steel Magnolias’ laughter-through-tears thing. I laugh and cry all the time, as many people do. The goal was to make things feel real."

"As the outside world continues to disappoint, I prefer the reality of 'Somebody Somewhere' and its ilk," concludes Schneider.

  8. We have started to watch Season 1 of 'Somebody Somewhere' (Neon), a delightful, thoughtful comedy-drama about a 40-something woman getting her life together in a small Kansas city after the death of her beloved sister. It's a nuanced, tender story told with wit and charm that doesn't shy away from life's difficulties and relationships. The lead, Bridget Everett, is sensational. I loved it from the get-go. Superb TV. Only seven half-hour episodes a season.
