I'm not American - although I was lucky enough to study at UT in Austin for a year as an undergrad (a lifetime ago...) - for what that is worth, but I am genuinely shocked & appalled & terrified by the events of this week. I can't quite fathom what happened and I don't know how to talk to British teenagers about it. No answers here, just musing.
